This chapters about Gabriella (the girl) getting the science assessment that started her adventure
Chapter 2: School
"Good bye Dad." I said. "Good bye Gabi have a nice day at school" he said back. I smiled at him then walked into school. My class was quite far. On the way I saw some of my classmates. They were talking to their friends.
I walked pass the grade 6 classrooms, I got to the end of the passage and turned right. I walked up a flight of stairs and I was at my class. I saw my two best friends Samantha Flin and Rebecca Perks talking to each other.
"Hey Gabi" Samantha said. "Hey Sammy, and Becky." I said. Becky didn’t say hello to me.
"Becky has laryngitis." Samantha said. Sammy had dark brown hair and bright green eyes.
"Shame but if you want to tell someone something just write it down on a piece of paper." I suggested. Rebecca smiled, showing her white teeth, she had hazel eyes, black hair and pink and blue braces.
The bell rang. Everyone picked up their bags. And my teacher Mrs Zinc came soon after the bell with the key in her hand. I heard the door’s lock turn. She opened the door and the whole class ran in. I put my bag down next to my chair.
My seat was behind Becky and to the right of Sammy. Becky sits in the front row. We all greeted the teacher with that old boring hello: "Good morning Mrs Zinc" then we all sat back down.
Becky turned to me and showed me a piece of paper saying:
Hey Gabi. Would you please help me by telling all my teachers I have laryngitis. Thx Becky.
I read it, turned the page and wrote: (as I don’t want to be in trouble with Mrs Zinc)
Sure I’ll do that for you! When do you want me to do that?
She wrote:
I don’t know! Maybe during break?
I turned to her, we both smiled to show we agreed.
Mrs Zinc was very old and started shaking (as usual). She handed out a piece of paper to each child saying:
Science Assessment:
You are required to make a reflective project. You may use any objects, a mirror etc. You may work in pairs. You will be marked on the following:
How your group worked together. Did everyone bring something. And did the project work as planned.
