The concert was awesome. Did I mention how crazy I am for Marty Stewart. Even a little girl I loved his music. As I got older I loved everything about him. After he came off the stage he went to sign autographs. I went to stand in the mile long line. I hate lines I can't stand in one place very long because of my legs. I did.t think I was going to make it.
" Jayla, where you at?" I hear Andrew call.
" Right here." I called not seeing him yet.
I turned and there he was holding a shirt and a chair.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
He handed me the shirt and sat the chair down in my spot.
" Well if your gonna stand here and wait to see...oh my gosh it's Marty Stewart." He said on a high pitched voice with his hand over his heart. "Then you need this for him to sign and I know you wouldn't be able to stand here. So I brought the chair."
" OK first, I don't sound like that. Second, I was gonna let him sign my forehead. Third thank you" I said holding up the shirt he bought. It was an small, white, speghettii strap shirt. It had a heart in the center with Marty Stewart through it. It was cute.
" Ya well I don't think you'd look good with his name on your face. And when your talking about the dreamy Marty Stewart you do sound like that." He replied with a face splitting smile. Finally the line moved up and there I was standing in front of Marty Stewart. I was speechless. I had alot to say but I was afraid if I opened my mouth id ask something stupid so I kept my mouth shut and handed him the shirt.
" So are you looking for a maid by chance I know someone that love to do your laundry." Andrew said. I turned to look at him feeling my face turn red. I am going to kill him. Marty Stewart just laughed I took the shirt and walk away from them and back to our blanket.
" Jess I'm going to kill Andrew." I said and she laughed
" What did he do now?" She asked
" I tried to get her a job doing his laundry." Andrew stated proudly with his hands behind his back. Everyone laughed well except me.
Then Merle Haggards song blares through the speakers. I watch Andrews face light up.
" Oh this is my song...I turned twenty one in prison doing life without parole." He shouted over the crowd
" That's my next tattoo. I'm gonna get mama tried right here." He pointed at his stomach. He plopped down beside me on the blanket and took Jax from me.
After the concert we stayed for the Lazer show. It wouldn't start until it was dark. It had started getting dark, Jax and TJ had fallen asleep so I just laid back and looked up at the stairs just starting to show up in the sky. It's one of my favorite things to do. It's amazing to think how big they have to be to be seen from so far away. It's funny to think about how something as little as the tiniest star can make you feel so little. I was so lost in my thoughts I hadn't realized that Andrew had taken my hand in his." You OK?" He whispered
" Ya I was just thinking." I replied still looking at the sky.
" About what? How you got a date with an amazingly sexy and sweet guy?" He asked " well the answer to that's not up there it's right here."
" No I was thinking how I ended up on a date with a playboy." I said laughing.
" Is that really what you think of me?" He asked sounding hurt.
" I don't know. I know that you don't stay with a girl very long before your with a new one. But the time I've spent with you has shown me a different side of you. You really want to know what I think? I asked
