Andrea, Frida and I walk near the cafeteria to the Courtyard to eat our lunch. Around there, there are some food places nearby that sell pizza, fried chicken, salads, you name it... Because most of the cafeteria food is disgusting, except for their mini calzones. Lucky for us, it was Calzone Day, so we each got in line to grab a tray. In the cafeteria, we run into Meredith Roberts. Meredith is our classmate and good friend. She is an optimistic goth girl who is talented in art, poetry and playing guitar. Plus Andrea has a crush on her. "Hey, guys." Meredith greeted. "Are any of you planning to perform in this year's Talent show?" "Yeah, Meredith." Frida replied excitedly. "We're gonna perform a Dance Choreography on stage. How about you?" Meredith replied. "I'll be doing a guitar cover from one of the songs in my playlist. Not sure which one though." "Sounds cool. Can't wait to see you onstage!" I said. "Back at you." She responded. Finally, we got our trays of Mini Calzones. Before turning towards the Cafeteria entrance, there was Brody West making his way. A lot of students looked in his direction. Some of the girls were even fangirl screaming. Brody is a boy in my grade and he's the captain of the Football Team. He's also on the Basketball and Swim Teams. Plus, he is known for his eye catching appearance, especially his facial features. Playing Sports is one of his talents, winning hearts is another. What a Show-off. Frida, Andrea, Meredith and I walked out of the cafeteria and I could hear Jessica flirting with Brody. Blech! Back in the courtyard, Meredith sat with us while we ate and takes out her sketch book.

"Maybe I can help suggest a design or two for your costumes if that's ok with you guys." she offered. I replied to her "Sure you can, sounds like a good idea. " Meredith started sketching different design outfits. Some were colorful, some were Two-Tone, and some were sparkling. "Girl, These are some lovely clothing designs for performing a choreography." Andrea exclaimed. "I can't decide which one to choose!" This discussion went on until the bell rang for next period. Elective Period. "I'll see you later guys." Meredith said before leaving. In the hallways while Andrea, Frida and I were swimming in the sea of students, I end up separated from them because of the students cutting us off. What a bunch of Jerks! Oh well. Andrea, Frida and I have the same elective anyway, Dance. On my way to the dance room, I stop by the Music room. As always, I can hear Jay Thompson, Freely playing one of the keyboards while he sings. Jay and I knew each other since 8th Grade and we get along very well. Not only is he a total sweetheart, but we have much in common. Not to mention... He is a talented musician who can play the guitar, drums piano, flute and he sings as well. Plus, He's really cute and... alright, I'm kinda in love with him. I quietly watch him as he sings and plays his keyboard.

~My heart beats wild for you who I pine,
my dearest, I wish you were mine,
Ooh I hope our ties don't sever,
the two of us forever,
So you see, we're meant to be, just you and me...~

Oh my God, this boy must be an angel sent from Heaven! I can feel my face blush a bright shade of red. I kept watching him sing and play his piano until Veronica smashed right into me and dropped her phone. The screen was a little cracked once that phone hit the floor.

"UGH!! Look at what you did! You made my drop my phone and now it's cracked! You damaged my screen you low-life loser!" She snapped. "Well look who's talking. Maybe you should've been watching where you were going instead of staring at the screen all the time." I shot back. At this moment Veronica shoved me into the wall. "You just keep your mouth shut, loser and stay out of my way!" Once Veronica stormed off, the hallway was getting less crowded and I was able to make my way to Dance class where my friends wait by the door. Here in dance class, we're currently working on a dance choreography. Not for the Talent Show, but another one for the school's yearly 'Summer Showcase Spectacular.' Every year, Moonbrook High School hosts this showcase when it's almost the end of the schoolyear before Summer starts where students perform onstage with the choir kids singing while the kids in Music class play along with musical instruments. The kids in Dance class, well, they dance and finally, the faculty comes onstage and distributes the student montage and plays a slideshow of photos of the past senior students during the whole year until their graduation. That slideshow brings me to tears every time. Anyway, back to today. "Nora, I thought we lost you, girl!" Andrea said to me when I stepped into the room. "At least you showed up."

"I got stuck in the crowded hallway." I replied. "Were you watching Jay sing again?" Frida asked. I nervously tell her yes. "Nora... I know you've been crushing on Jay since sophomore year. If you keep hiding your feelings toward him, then you won't have a chance to make your move and tell him you like him." Frida was right. I gotta confess how I feel to Jay before this schoolyear ends. And then our dance teacher, Ms. Grey arrives. "Alright, guys. Class is about to start." She said to us. "Lets get our warm-up exercises done and we'll go across the floor and work on our choreography." It was quite a short yet fun class.
