I ran downstairs and noticed the the basement door was wide open. Which I thought was weird because the only thing that we kept down there were decorations and my dads stuff. I quietly stepped down the creaky stairs. I couldn’t believe what I saw. Summer was in the corner crying with blood all over her face, and there was a note next to her. I ran over and picked up Summer and the note.

-”I told you to leave.”

I looked at the shaking little girl and saw that she had a huge gash in her face. “Summer! What happened? Who did this to you?!” I said with fear in my voice. “Emily did. She made me come down here so we could play. But I told her we weren’t aloud to, so she cut me with glass.” Summer answered. “Emily isn’t real, Summer. She is apart of your imagination. Who really did this?” I said, “I’m not lying! Emily did this to me. And she will do it to you too.” screamed Summer. Summer normally didn’t lie. So I just ignored her and brought her upstairs.

I picked up the little girl and brought her upstairs where Luke was waiting for us. I explained to him what happened to her. We set her on the counter and cleaned the blood off her face, and called my mom. She didn’t answer. “Luke, will you bring Summer to my moms work? I don’t want her here by herself.” I asked, “Of course, we can just go to my house after.” Luke replied. We all walked outside to Luke’s truck, I buckled Summer into the backseat and I got myself into the front. We drove for about 20 minutes until we got to the hospital. I took Summer out of the back seat and carried her into the front office, I told Luke to wait outside until I got back out. I called my mom and told her we were here and for her to come to the front office to get Summer. My mom still didn’t know what happened to her, and I planned on keeping it that way. “Hey Alyx, what are you guys doing here? And what happened to Summers face!?”my mom said with a worried look, “Umm, she hit her face off the counter trying to get some cereal out of the cupboard. I cleaned it and she said she feels fine.” I said feeling proud of myself for coming up with that story which seemed somewhat realistic to me. “Alright, she can stay here with me.” said my mom, “Okay good. Because i’m going to a friends after school today.” I told her.
