"Blake." Weiss whined. She was laying back on her colossal, pale white, four poster bed. Her hair spilling out around her head. Yet even though she was speaking toward the ceiling, Blake seemed to hear her from the next room. She titled her head to the side and looked into the mirror, seeing her same vibrant, piercing eyes framed by pale white skin meet her bored stare.

"Yes, your grace?" Blake said. The tails of her long white coat slipping round the doorframe. The onyx silk bow atop her head and her black hair flowing in neat, combed strands. Her boots came up to half way up her leg, the straps on them, expertly tied.

Blake was already wearing her traveling gear, with a knife in each boot, one hidden in the back of her collar, and many, many more concealed within her usual clothes. She just seemed more comfortable if she was wearing more versatile clothes.

"Are we ready to go yetttt-" Weiss complained. Her father had sent her away, out of the palace of Atlas and to the Vasilias's royal city of Atlantis. She was to travel through Vale, and Mistral, take a boat to Menagerie where Blake would stop them for a few days to assure the journey had been fine. Then get another ship to Atlantis, where, Neptune was to propose to her.

She had met Neptune at annual royal gatherings, or the many other occasions where all prestigious folk would be invited. Neither her, nor Neptune had shown any interest in each other.

In fact she had a conversation with Neptune in private more recently, maybe a few months ago, that confirmed her suspicion that neither of them had any interest in the other.

Flashback

"It's a nice evening isn't it your excellency." Neptune announced as he walked out onto the balcony. His blue hair as bright as a lone star in the sky separated from the rest of the constellations mapping the night. Walking with a smile that from it's generosity had to be fake.

"I've seen worse nights." Weiss smiled, looking up, not even turning to face the approaching prince.

"Well, I'm not too fond of night to be honest." Neptune said, leaning on the marble of the wall of the balcony. Placing his elbows, slotting his fingers together over the surface and leaning down slightly, looking over the edge.

"How odd, any reason why?" Weiss asked, humouring the strange man beside her.

"I prefer the Sun." Neptune answered. "The moon lacks in humour I find."

"It makes up for it in warmth and happiness I've found." Weiss giggled "Well this is definitely the strangest evening I've had in a while."

"Glad to beat a record Princess." Neptune said, standing back up to his full height, and beginning to drift away.

"Wait." Weiss announced.

Neptune stopped and turned around. "Yes? Is anything wrong." He asked.

Weiss was hesitant, but she had been watching him closely, trying to get a judge of character on him. But he was very guarded, he hid it well. She recognised the method of concealing part of who you are, hiding a fragment of your identity because people won't like it. She'd been there, deflecting questions about personal life or giving the regular answers, the ones that were heard so often nobody bats an eyelid when they here them.

"I have a question for you." Weiss said. Walking closer until she was almost face to face with him. But, he tried to look away. Someone who was so confident had crumbled as soon as a woman was close to him. He was almost looking behind himself to avoid her invading even the corners of his vision.
