A Loyal Friend

After Dinner and Dessert...

Ruby was wearing a light pastel blue night gown with oversized sleeves that halfway covered her hands.

Leo was wearing a white tank top and blue jean shorts.

Breeze was wearing a dark blue crop top with blue jean shorts.

'After years, Ts. Ts! Of steady frying! Ts! The doctors gave up trying!" Ruby sang.

'What!?" Leo asked, laughing.

'Yeah! I know right!? Poor Cinderella!" Breeze said, laughing as well.

There was a Knock on the door.

'Who could be knocking this late at night?" Ruby asked, surprised.

'I don't know," Leo responded as he left the room.

Ruby grabbed a bat and followed Leo.

'Ruby! Why did you follow me?" Leo asked in a hushed tone.

'So I can protect you, incase somebody attacks you!" Ruby stubbornly replied.

Leo sighed, knowing it was a lost cause to try to convince her to do otherwise.
He went outside and called to see who it was.

'Anyone out the-..." Leo asked before grunting, falling to his knees after a sudden glittery sand attack in his eyes.

Ruby whimpered nervously but then opened the door and stood infront of Leo.

'I'VE GOT A BAT AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!" Ruby yelled at the top of her lungs.

Ruby heard grass ruffle and Hit the blur she saw,The Blur slid across the grass and dirt.
Ruby covered mouth and gasped, she ran towards the blur,

'Ruby! Come back! She could be dangerous!" Leo whisper-shouted.

Ruby got on her knees and was hesitant, taking a good look on her, she had skin that would help her blend into the night, with a sunny yellow dress, slippers of the same color and blonde hair in a wavy ponytail. But she shook her shoulder.

'A-Are you okay...? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you that ha-..." Ruby asked, concerned.

The woman suddenly woke up and stroke Ruby's chin with her finger.

Ruby squealed but stayed in place.

'Aww, so adorable... I'm okay, Thhanks! For as-king!" The woman evilly cooed.

'Stay Away from her!" Ruby heard Leo snap.

The woman caressed Ruby's cheeks.

'It's ssssooo sweet that you were concerned little one," The woman said as Leo grabbed Ruby and held her tight, bat in hand as well. 'Thanks for Caring, Lightning Bug!"

The woman then developed butterfly shaped wings and flew off faster then the speed of Light.

'L-Lightning Bug!?" Ruby asked in an unsettled tone.

'Ruby, Please try to be more careful! She could've hurt you!" Leo soft-heartedly admonished.

'B-But She was hurt...She looked like she needed help..." Ruby innocently stammered.

Leo acted as if a heart shaped arrow had struck his heart.

'She's too pure..." Leo said in a horse whisper.

'Better make sure people don't take advantage of that," Theo quipped in a serious tone.
