(Jarvis's POV)
"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!"
The noise of students chanting over and over is echoing across the playground.
Apparently, Nikolai's settling the score from that of the time when Scott round-kicked his face.
The turn of events goes back to today morning, on the first day of school.
(Morning- 7:00)
Taklink!
It was the sound of a notification coming from my phone. I picked it up and read the notification.
"Gonna settle the score today. Lunch. Playground. Watch me. -Nikolai."
Oh no! I smell a heck load of trouble.
I received another text from Dominic within minutes. Wrath of Nikolai, Scott's gonna suffer for sure :D
I texted back to Dominic. Don't get too rushy. Scott might have some moves up his sleeve.
I sighed and went downstairs for breakfast, as usual. Suprisingly, Charles's at the table snarling down his breakfast already. I didn't see dad so I thought he might be outside doing exercise or tinkering the van.
Amy's over at the corner where we usually make noodles. She appeared to be making...spaghetti, I guess?
Well anyways, I went over to the table and took the seat beside Charles. I just sat there quietly for a moment and then broke the ice.
"Hey Charles."
"What's up?"
He seemed totally nonchalant about everything around him. He just focused on the eating.
"Well.... Why're you snarling down breakfast so quickly?"
He turned around. I knew that was the wrong time to have said that to him. I felt tiny little clones of myself running inside my brain and yelling, "Charles incoming! Brace the muscles and nerves!"
"How could you forget about today?!"
I was stunned. I didn't have any idea what he was talking about.
"The K.O.N.S.E.T!"
"Wha...?"
"I said, THE CONCERT!"
That's when it hit me. Today was his first concert ever. He'll be the DJ for the school concert, which is today, after school.
By the way, I know I haven't mentioned this before, but Charles is a dubstep musician. He has uploaded some of his tunes onto SoundCloud and they all got over 10,000 downloads. That was impressive for a newbie.
"Well, s-o-r-r-y. I... Uh... Kinda forgot about it due to crazy stuff going on."
"Cool."
His attitude turned icy, like always.
A few seconds later, Amy placed a plate of spaghetti in front of me and smiled.
"A back-to-school treat."
"Thanks Amy! But why would you go through the trouble of making a plate of spaghetti just for me?"
"Because you're my brother! Do I need a reason for that?"
I smiled then put my palms together in the air and made a praying sign.
"Itadakima~su!"
That's what she always says before a meal since it meant "Thank you for the food" in Japanese. As you can see, she's an "otaku", i.e, she's addicted to anything anime/Japanese related stuff. She gave me a slight punch on the arm, then turned around and went upstairs.
