[Y/N POV]

I quickly realised where the metal rod flew. I ran to the direction of where it went. I looked around and it seemed to be a dead end. I looked up and saw the rod stuck to the wall. There was a pile of dirt that was randomly placed on the ground.

"What the hell happened here?" I asked out loud to myself, while scratching my head. Where did that man even go? I suddenly felt something touch my foot. I looked down and saw a hand emerged from the ground, holding to the tip of my shoe. "AHHHHH" I screamed. The hand suddenly pulled my foot in, taking my shoe away from me. Jennie walked up to the scen and I hid behind her. "What was that?!" I shouted.

"Left over ashes of a dead ghost" Jennie said calmly.

"That was a ghost?!" I was shocked.

"Ghosts tend to look a lot like humans" Jennie said and sighed.

"Ghost can hurt humans?" I questioned in fear.

"Some ghosts that have deep grudges they can hurt you...and kill you" Jennie smirked and at me. Did she find the thought of me dying amusing?

"How am I supposed to know which is which?" I asked, eager to get an answer.

"Start learning and find the difference between them" Jennie said calmly. What is it with this woman???

"How can I even do that??" I asked.

"That's why you should look at them closely.." Jennie chuckled.

"When I look closely......I get scared" I confessed, feeling embarassed.

"What are you scared of? I'm right here" She said and smirked. Jennie turned her body and started to walk away.

"Wait!" I shouted. Jennie turned to me. "Can you.....Can you get my shoe for me?" I asked, she just looked at me blankly. "It might be to dangerous for me to get close" I protested. She smirked.

"Why don't you refer to me as Miss Kim? I'm your boss" Jennie said with a smug look on her face.

"What? Your not my boss! I told that I don't want to work at your hotel" I said and sighed.

"I guess you're not that scared yet" She said and started to walk away. I looked at my shoe next to the pile of 'ghost dust' I guess. I hesitated to pick it up but I ended up doing it.

"Wait, should we do something about that? It might be dangerous for people who might walk by it" I said while carrying my shoe.

"That thing will get collected soon" Jennie said with no interest.

"By who?" I asked.

"The grim reaper, duh" She said. Gosh her attitude stinks. I stopped and put my shoe on. She turned around and tilted her head.

"You're going to wear that thing again?" Jennie asked. I looked at her with a worried face.

"W-Why? Is it dangerous? But I just bought these" I complained and immediately took the shoes off. I especially got this for that new job at The Plaza. "Can't I just wipe the dust off?" I asked. She just looked at me with a disgusted face. I really like these shoes though.

"I'll just buy you new ones" She said while still having that disgusted expression on her face. I threw away the shoe. She started to walk again and so I followed her.

[Time skippu~]

We arrived at the mall and found a shoe store. Jennie started to look around for me. Aren't the shops arund her too expensive?

"Oh these ones are nice" She said.

"No way. That's not my style" I complained.

"Hey!" She shouted, I was startled. "These are much better than that brown tacky shoes of yours!" She shouted.

"They match my outfit okay??" I shouted back.

"Don't wear shoes like that ever again" She said.

"Did you just tell me to the those away beacuse-" She cut me off.

"I hate those type of shoes" Jennie said.

"Not because they were dangerous??" I said and almost tripped.

"I never told you that they were dangerous" She said. "If you don't like those ones then wear these ones" She told me, pointing to the shoes.

"No way, I'm getting the same ones as before" I argued back.

"Look the store will close soon so pic-" Her annoyed voice was cut off by an announcement.

"Dear costumers, the mall will now close. Please make you way to the exists" The announcer said. Jennie hissed and looked at me with an annoyed face...We ended up buying the shoes. After Jennie was done paying for it, we head outside and she started to complain again.

"I couldn't buy any shoes for me because your're being so picky!" She complained rather annoyingly.

"Well if we had more time, I would have never bought these ugly looking shoes" I pointed to my feet.

"Oh well, deal with it" She sighed. Gosh this woman. "Every store has a closing time you know?" Yes I know, I'm not dumb. "Anyway, I bought you these new shoes so you can come work at my hotel" Her face had a smug look again. Bought? I bought them!

"Hold on. One, I bought these shoes that you picked" I exaggerated the word picked. "And two, I'm not going to work at your hotel. What are you going to make me do there anyway?" I asked feeling a bit irritated and so was she. The shop lights turned off and it was fully shutting down. Jennie turned to the mall, facing it. Her hands were behind her back.

"You're going to console the people who closed the doors with frustration" She said with a blank expression. I was confused.

"What do you mean doors?" You asked.

"The doors to their lives" She said calmly. "There is a bridge over sandy river. On the other side is the way to heaven. Although not all of them can find their way across, as you saw earlier" Oh right the ghost that chased me.

"Is it just like how you're standing here even thought the store has closed?" I asked, expecting an answer from her.

"Very smart. Those who come to my hotel are the souls who got lost on their way to the afterlife" She turned to me.

"Are you saying that, all guests at your hotel are ghosts? And is that why you gave me this so called gift?" I asked calmly. A smiled crept up on her face and chuckled.

"Come to Kim's Hotel and you'll be safe if you're by my side" She said. I took a step back slowly. "Ah ah ah~ The worst thing you could possibly do is run away without my permission" She said. I gulped.

"Don't do it" The tone of her voice changed.
