Mother-dog what are you doing out here? Asked a pup who was just trotting out of the den. Her mother-dog jumped. Just spending some time with the moon-dog. Her mother-dog replied. This pup had never heard about the moon dog before. What's the moon-dog? The pup asked curious. Oh well sit down or lay down and I will tell you the story. Her mother-dog sat down and began the story and by the time she had finished the pup was sound asleep. She picked her pup up by the scruff gently so she wouldn't wake her up and carried her into the den. She settled her in to her mossy bed and the layed down and fell asleep herself. The next day the pup woke up to the sound of howling, and it wasn't happy howling like the pack normally did, it was a fear howl and the little pup ran out of the den. What's wrong? She yelped. Alpha her mother-dog said, your brother has disappeared. The pup almost fainted. What do you mean he's gone? She asked, worried. Alpha answer he just vanished in the dead of night. The pack broke again into fearful howling that sent shivers down the pups spine. The young pup dashed out of camp yelping for her litter-brother.
