5 YEARS LATER
"Have they gone to sleep?" Was Taehyung first said when entering the doors.
"One out of two." Mrs. Choi lightly smiled at her answer.
Taehyung smiled too. Thinking of the little toddler that keeps insisting of not sleeping unless Dada is here.
Taehyung went up the stairs, Mrs. Choi quietly tailing behind him. Taehyung loosened his tie and sighed after a long day from work. He wasn't usually this busy, it's just that since the recent partnership with a famous company had started, he had gotten more and more busy, resulting a little time for relaxation, and a little time for them.
Taehyung licked his lips when hearing a children's song in an open door at the second to the last room in the hallway. And for the first time this day, he chuckled.
"Mrs. Choi, could you make some milk please? Just the way that he liked it." Taehyung slightly leaned his face to the side, Mrs. Choi simply nodding in his peripheral vision, and went to the kitchen as requested.
Taehyung took a peek in the space between the open door and the wall, eyes immediately looking at a small human wearing a duck onesie, back facing him. It was obvious that the toddler was engrossed with watching the TV.
Cute.
He slowly sneaked into the room, careful not to step into some toys lying on the floor, especially the noisy ones. Ready to pick up the child by the waist, he stopped when he noticed that the child's head was actually leaning on the soft head of the couch, small snores coming out of him. He smiled softly.
Little Taejun was sleeping peacefully, his small hand wrapped loosely around his toy duck. He must have fell asleep after watching TV. Taehyung sat beside Taejun, silently cooing at how cute his son was in his duck onesie.
Taehyung sat for a while before deciding to stand up and gently pick Taejun in his arms, the toy duck falling from the little boy's loose grip. He walked outside the room.
"GOODNESS HE--" Mrs. Choi placed a free hand on her chest, eyes squized shut due to how surprised she was on almost bumping to Taehyung. Seeing the little child cradled on his arms, Mrs. Choi toned her voice down. "Goodness heavens, Taehyung. You surprised me."
Mrs. Choi had been one of Kim Family's loyal servants. She had been taking care of Taehyung since he was a child. With that, we can conclude that Mrs. Choi is pretty old to still serve others in the dawn of her life but she insists that she loved her job and will continue to serve the Kim's until her last breath. Mrs. Choi serves as Taehyung's second mother figure.
Taehyung grinned at her, finding Mrs. Choi's reaction amusing.
"I'm sorry Mrs. Choi." Taehyung apologized while still keeping up the cheeky grin on his face. Mrs. Choi noticed that and thought that Taehyung's cheeky side was seeping out. She ignored it, completely used to it.
She looked at the little boy in his arms.
"Jun's asleep? That's a miracle."
