"pink hair? really?" bru' asked staring at me in the mirror
of my vanity. "it's a big day for me. cut me some slack your majesty," I sarcastically said rolling my eyes, turning on my heel to look at her.

I smiled at her attire happy that she didn't look like she was about to go into battle at any second. it definitely wasn't formal but it was adorable to see her in earthly clothing. she wore a bright yellow graphic t-shirt with red leather pants with black flats making me now stand over her with my heels. I grabbed a red leather jacket off my clothing rack handing it to her. "can't believe you ditched the winter wear and armor for me, I'm definitely on the way to being queen of asgard," I said smiling as she pulled the jacket on.

she happily smiled, playfully rolling her eyes at my slick comment. she stepped closer hugging me before pulling away. "you're gonna do great out there. I know you're nervous because you're insulting my fashion and usually you compliment my armor," she explained looking at me up and down.

"I'll do that with or without my public anxiety."

bru' turned around walking to the door glancing at me one last time before giving a sarcastic looking thumbs up. "don't freeze," she said slickly, leaving me by myself.

I admired myself in the mirror exhaling ready to begin the new chapter in my life. I adjusted my mothers ear rings in my own ears, smiling. I turned around walking to the wooden door leaving the room. I was greeted by everyone who talked loudly in the lobby.

"alright, time to shut up!" fury yelled standing next to me as I beamed to everyone. silence fell in the room as I started my speech, "thank you everyone for coming back to earth, especially carol. well guys this is the start of a new chapter, two thousand eight all over again eh tony?"

tony smiled holding morgan in his arms while peter, harley, pepper and happy stood next to him, "wouldn't have it any other way lightsaber."

"as you should, but guys we are now a unit, together as one. even if we all don't get along or our beliefs are different we will operate as a family. we did it when thanos threatened our very existence," I said placing my hands behind my back, fiddling around with my fingers pursing my fingers.

everyone looked at me with happiness on there faces. "I'm honored to know every last one of you, even if I dropped kicked some of y'all's asses," I said watching steve give me a look that nonverbally said 'really?'.

"but guys, today is our day so let's all file out and get seated so the real speech can start," I said and everyone turned filing out of the room like a school of fish.

I exhaled briefly closing my eyes before hearing fury's voice, "your mother and father would be proud."

"thanks uncle fury," I mumbled turning around offering a smile. "I wouldn't trust anyone but you to do something like this and be my boss," he said patting my shoulder. "plus you got some bad ass people as your right hand people," he said in a cocky voice more referring to himself.

"right maria and natasha are amazing people along with coulson," I sarcastically said as he walked to the door opening it, training his one eye on me.

"and maybe you too."

he glanced at me one last time before leaving me alone backstage, I could've sworn I saw the ghost of a smile on his face too.

I exhaled one last time when I heard stark's voice say my name and I walked to the door walking out across the stage. when I arrived at the podium, stark gave me a pat on the shoulder before saying, "feels like 2008 again."

I glanced at him smiling, "i'll try to learn from your mistakes tony."

he smirked patting my shoulder going to sit behind me like everyone else while the media sat and stood in front of me, several flashes blinding me at once.

"hello, i'm nyx nandi and..Im here to deliver a important announcement," I start, glancing behind me meeting the eyes of everyone from the battle of earth. it was still surreal that everyone had made time for this earthly event especially carol and the guardians.

"as you know, earth's biggest threat is no longer a angry asgardian prince. earth's threats are bigger, larger, and are not from here. we are lucky enough to have people of all races such as myself and as you know them, earth's mightiest heroes. the six avengers were enough for a prince and robot but what happens when we face another threat such as thanos with a worse agenda. thanos wiped out half the universe but the truth is that, there are worse threats out there and we will need all universal forces to come together as they did for the battle of earth."
