Midoriya's P.O.V.
"Hey, Deku!" Kacchan calls from the kitchen.
I quickly slip on a pair of plain white socks and run out of the bedroom toward the kitchen. It's been almost a month since we had that last run-in with Shoto and Kacchan's rival Mafia company. It's been pretty peaceful since then.
"I'm coming!" I yell back, sliding into the kitchen to see Kacchan and Shoto with their hands behind their back.
"Well, we had a special surprise for you. Since, you know, it's your birthday." Shoto says.
A wide smile breaks out onto my face as they pull out a cake they were holding behind them.
"That's so sweet of you guys! Thank you so much. Did you make it yourself?" I exclaim.
Kacchan chuckles. "We both suck at baking, we couldn't make something this beautiful. It's the thought the counts, right?"
I nod, giggling. These dummies are the best boyfriends I could ever ask for.
"You guys are literally the best. I don't know what I would do without you!" I jump up and down in glee.
"How would you like to celebrate your birthday, after the cake, of course?" Shoto asks.
"Can we play a game, like shogi?" I ask excitedly.
"Sure." Shoto and Kacchan say in sync, looking at each other and chuckling.
Kacchan leans over and gives Shoto a quick kiss on the cheek, causing Shoto to lightly blush.
"Aw," I say mockingly, the pair both rolling their eyes.
I close the distance between me and the other two, jumping on them and pulling them into a tight hug.
The three of us stand in the middle of the kitchen, just hugging each other. Hugs are arguably one of the greatest things ever invented!
We eventually break apart and walk over to the dining table. Kacchan cuts the cake and sets three separate slices on their respective plates.
Our quiet conversation carries throughout the dining room as we all enjoy the cake. We finish up and set our plates in the sink to be washed later.
I skip over to the living room and plop down on the couch. I pull out the shogi game board and set it in the coffee table.
It was a two-player game, so Shoto sits across from me as Kacchan sits beside me to watch.
As we freshen ourselves up on the rules, the doorbell rings. I stand up to go answer, but Kacchan put his hand on my chest so I couldn't stand up.
"I'll get it." He says, walking toward the front door.
He unlocks it and swings it open. A guy with brunette hair stood at the door, a clipboard in hand.
"What are you here for?" Kacchan questions as Shoto and I stare curiously at the man.
"An inspection. This neighborhood is being evaluated to see if the houses are up to code." The guy answers monotonously.
"Okay... may I ask what caused us all the be inspected?" Kacchan eyes the man suspiciously.
"No. That's classified and the information has not yet been released to the public. May I come in now?" The guy sighs, annoyed.
"I suppose," Kacchan answers warily, stepping aside so he could come in.
He looks over at Shoto and I sitting across from each other, seeing the board game.
"I see everyone is here." The man chuckles.
"Huh?" Shoto says, looks of confusion on all our faces.
The man smirks and laughs once again, pulling out a gun.
Our eyes widen in horror.
