Namjoon's P.O.V.
Minho sat with her grandmother for hours learning her story and I honestly couldn't restrain myself from eavesdropping on the said conversation. It was so interesting... She was a princess and not only because she looked like one.

Minho's mother was from the Yi line.

The House of Yi or Korean Imperial Household.

Her great grandmother was  princess Deokhye. Because of this, her mother doesn't carry the name nor the honours since Minho's grandma was an illegitimate daughter. Even with this, the culture stayed in the family with the herbal teas, hanboks, and much more.

To add, her dad's origins are from the Yo family who ruled a part of ancient Korea in 680, but their family wasn't recognised anymore years later and some had to flee. Her father was born from a woman of that family therefore he didn't keep the name either, but his father is a Joo who's descendants worked as writers for the house of Yi.

"So both sides of your family met centuries ago? How amazing is that?"

I startled Minmin. "Wha- Goodness Joonie make some noise before. You scared me!"

I bowed at her grandmother. "May I sit?"

Minho glared at me. "Were you eavesdropping on me?"

I denied. "Noooo... Yes. I'm as curious as you are."

Her grandma pointed at the chair. "Please sit young man. Who are you to my.. Granddaughter?"

I didn't know what to say. Would she be opened to say it? I could count the times we had kissed on my hands.. "Humm.."

My peanut sized girlfriend took my hand. "He is my boyfriend, grandmother." Her tone was sweet and assertive.

She said it. I didn't think she would. The elder smiled. "Your mother and father started dating at your age.. It feels like I'm living it all over again." She took a sip of her tea. "When my son brought your mother home to me, she didn't know how to introduce herself. My oldest was a very straightforward boy. He did just what you did."

Minho held back her laugh. "They seem like special people."

She grinned. "They were special.."

"Do you know how they died?" Minmin had to ask. It was one thing that they died, but she wanted to know how they did. It meant a lot to her.

"Joo Minho, you ask too many questions to her. You're not running an investigation." Ara pointed out going down the stairs. "Let her breathe."

She looked at me for some kind of approval, then sighed. "Right.. Sorry. I believe you have somewhere else to be grandmother so I won't ask more questions.."

The one she apologized to glanced down. "I'm sorry Minho. Maybe we will meet again."

Minmin frowned. "I'm sorry? What do you mean maybe? Do you not want to see me? Do you not like me?"

I whispered. "Don't think that."

She bowed to her grandmother. "Sorry for my behavior. Take care."

The woman caressed her hair. "Take care dear." And left..

When the door closed, Minho banged her head on the table. "I'm. So. Dumb."

I pat her back. "Don't say that. You got answers."

A deeper sigh. "But I didn't gain a family member. I'm stupid Joonie."

I chuckled. "No, you're not. You have scholarships and honours to prove it."

Wonhae showed up in front of us. "Want to go for a ride? My mother is no easy person. I'll take you for ice cream what do you think?"

Couldn't say no to ice cream could we?

Minho's P.O.V.
"This isn't the way to the ice cream corner." I noticed. "Where are we going?"

The driver, my father's brother, smiled. "You noticed huh? We're going to the place no one wants to take you to."
Namjoon and I both gave him a confused look. "We're going to see your parents." He stopped the car. "You can walk Minho, but watch your step."

I was so nervous. Joonie helped me out of the car. "You're trembling, you're okay? We can come back another time."

I denied. "You're leaving tomorrow. I won't want to go without you." I was excited, scared and sad at the same time. I barely knew them, but they were my family and I already was so attached to them. "I don't know how to feel."

He, of course, like the good guy he was, reassured me. "It's normal. I wouldn't know how to feel either and I'd want you with me."

I looked up at his face. "Really?"

He smiled. "Of course."

Wonhae stopped in his tracks, in front of a stone. "Hyung, noona, I brought your girl with me. I hope you aren't mad at me and Ara for telling her about you. She's so much like you."

My hand slid out of my giant's hand and touched the stone. "So.. They're resting under us?"

Wonhae nodded. "Yeah.. Yes they are.."

I read. "Joo Yongsun and Yamato Jiso... 1970-1995.. They were so young."

Wonhae sat down. "I couldn't save my own brother.."

We all sat down. I saw him tearing up. "What do you mean?" I said handing him a tissue.

He took it, eyes still glued on the stone. "I was working the day he died and it fell on me to save him.. No matter what I would've done, he would've died anyway.."

Now I was tearing up. I laid my head on his shoulder. "It wasn't your fault. I may not have a dad, but I have the greatest uncle ever.."

Joonie pet my hair. It help me not cry a waterfall. I saw him read. "They died in service?.."

He nodded. "Car accident.. Someone shot the wheel. Goodness that I miss him.." He got up. "Sorry for being a mess." He cleared his throat. "Didn't come here for ten years.."

I couldn't get up. I kept thinking how improbable only the shot wheel would make him unable to save my father. I passed my fingers across the letters and numbers. "S-sorry.. It's just even more real because I have proof I.."

Joonie hugged me by the shoulder. "It's okay, take your time. We're here for that."

I heard Wonhae take something out of his bag. "This is for you."

I took the string tied package of letters. "What are these?.."

He crouched down. "They wrote these for you.. They planned on reading them to you, but.. You'll have to read them yourself."

I looked at the package, saw their handwriting and I cried.. I cried so hard. "I wish they were alive.."

Joonie pulled me to him, rubbing my back, letting me nuzzle my face into his neck. "We all wish that Minmin. It's okay. You have the right to cry."

Now I understood why we were gonna stop for ice cream after and not before. I had never cried so much in my entire life. Thank you for bringing me here Wonhae.. I needed to. Really needed to.
