"Angel are you sure you want to move into this house?" Her father asked.
"Yeah it's nice and quiet away from the city," Angel answered.
"But it's haunted," he continued.
"I'll cleanse it, remember I am my mother's daughter," Angel said sitting down the final box and hugging her father.
"Please come visit me my little Angel," he said almost tearing up.
"I'm not little anymore dad, I have my own shop in town, and now my own place, you still have my little sisters to hover over, and I will try to come and see you and mom," Angel said looking up at the sky starting to well up.
"You are a free spirit just like her," he said giving her a kiss on the cheek before he started to walk to his vehicle.
Angel stood at the front of the house and waved at her dad as he drove down the rocky road. She decided to start unpacking and picked up a box and walked out to the rather large barn she had planned to turn into a shed, as she walked into the barn she suddenly felt a cold chill and saw her breath in the icy cold atmosphere. It's the middle of August and it's 110 degrees outside she thought to herself.
"Hello?" She called out.
"Her," a voice calmly said.
"Hello??" She called again.
"Take her," another voice called out.
"I can hear you, Hello? Answer me or I'm calling the cops!" Angel exclaimed dropping her box and as every thing spilled out her mother's pendent started to glow.
"It's gotta be 'er, she's got the family stone," the first voice noted.
"That's it!" As Angel screamed out she started to run to the entrance to the barn only to have the door shut on her and lock.
"Don't fear my child, My name is Madam Isle," I said as my ghoulish figure appeared out of no where.
"Wh-what d-d-d-do you wa-nt?" She said holding herself as she started feeling colder.
"This!" I said as my embodiment took over her body and hers jumped out and jumped into the pendent around her neck.
As I took over her body I stretched my new found limbs out.
"My child, you may have your body back every new moon, except in September and October." I held the pendent up to my face and I spoke to her.
"LET ME OUT!!!" She screamed pounding from inside the necklace.
"That I can't do," I said taking off the pendent and putting it in a box.
I stepped up to one of the old mirrors that were in the barn to look at my face. The hair was about what it looked like when I was alive, but my face looked as if roots were taking over the side of it. I felt the rush of overwhelming power to my new finger tips, and my eyes became glassed over.
"All right my powers are returnin'" I said balling up my fist and relaxing them.
I walked into one of the hidden stalls in the barn lifted up a door and walked down into what used to be a storage area when I was alive. I walked down now recognizing the smell of death and despair. It hasn't changed any since I was alive. I looked around for my old sacrificial knives, and an old leather bound book that had my scarred spells. As they been where I had left them, in the back now covered in years of cobwebs, spiders, and dust.
I opened the book and read aloud. "As my powers of nature and chaos return to me, bring alive my ghoulish spirits, awake the dead, and a tear upon the fabric of existence. I call upon, the ancient spirits of voodoo priestesses and witchdoctors past. Today is a new day a new year a new time to reap the souls of the living and awaken putrid souls of the dead."
As I finished I found a rat running around my feet, I grabbed it and sliced it open, making the blood pour from it and drew a pentagram on the wall.
The lights flickered on and off from the candles that are placed around the room. Skeletons lined the room after being stuck to the walls with nails, previous owners who were not much to work with in the past.
"It's good to be back!" I exclaimed almost jumping in the air.
I climbed out of the room, and I stepped above being enveloped by darkness. I was never like this alive but being dead for so many years and collecting the souls of those who lived in my house for decades you grow to impatient and dark. As the darkness disappeared my face still looked as if roots were coming out, but now covered my face, arms, and chest was runes. What used to be the barn now mirroring what used to be my room of healing now covered in withered roses, cauldrons, and hanging goats heads. As I placed the pendent against the big mirror in the room, the girl's soul appeared in the mirror.
"If I was you I wouldn't start something, as my power grows weaker as the new moon approaches you can gain control but now I have permanent control over your body, as your soul envelopes this mirror. I'm on a journey to right an overdue wrong,"
I said to her as she stared at me. "You should have listening to your father when you had the chance."She blankly looked at me and didn't say a thing.

This story is being developed for my Worlds of Fun Haunt character, Madam Isle. I feel she would be suited as an Original Character story as well as a her name being Isla Queen Rowe. This character is A voodoo priestess, and every picture I post for the chapters are personal ones. My house at Halloween Haunt for Worlds of Fun is Blood on the Bayou which is where I'm basing the story, in New Orleans.
