It was the beginning of February, the month of pink, when Avery Rose received her pink beaded slippers. All the females praised her in awe as they passed her in the halls of Coralwelt High school for Girls. Each day Avery would walk to school with her head held up proud as she swayed through the crowding freshmen and juniors.
It wasn't a surprise to her for them to adore her, she did come from a long family of whites after all. Everyone knows that the whites are the highest group of the community, they hold all rules and laws that the rest of the middle and lower class have to obediently follow. The family of white was very grateful to have a descendent of pink stay with them. It was a gift for them and to all citizens with a light hue.
Lilith, a female of the green attribute" spoke first. "Oh Avery, you and your love of pink. You should try green for a change." Avery knew that she obviously joking with her like she did everyday. All of the kids and adults knew that changing specific color would be against the rules. Beside why would anyone want to change, it's better the way it is now.
The incomplete pink laughed at her high classed friend. "Of course not! Why would I ever want to change." She lightly tapped Lilith on the shoulder before proceeding to walk home. Vivian, a mistress of yellow, quietly spoke second. "I would like to change sometimes." Avery rolled her eyes at both of them. "Oh please change is so...so..." Lilith continued the sentence. "Inadequate?" Aver nodded a yes to her friend. "Yeah hehe"
Lilith and Vivian were complete polar opposites to themselves and Avery. With Lilith having a love for nature and sunshine left Vivian with a calm, sad personallity. Even through she was born into a yellow life style, she would always dream of one day becoming a purple. However the laws states that a change in color would mean severe punishment. Of course with a mind set on her dream, she didn't really care as much, nobody decided to listen to her at this point anyway.
Once the day was done, Avery went home to her white covered house, not one little spot was another color. As she went inside the double doors she was always astounded at how big her house was, it was almost as if it was a mansion. She could never believe it was just an ordinary house. "Sweetheart you home?" Her hologram of a mom called from work. "Yes mother" She answer politely. "That's good, cookies will brought to you by one of the mistresses." Her mom said smiling through the see through screen. "Thank you!" Avery Said before going up the tremendously long stairs to her room.
She closed the door and sighed. "Why does it always have to rain when I get home?" She crashed onto her bed, looked up at the ceiling while still asking questions to herself. "Am I just a rain magnet or something?" She rolled over onto her stomach and drifted of into deep slumber.
