A punch in the gut, that's what seeing Andrew with another girl felt like. I watched as he laughed at her joke and it felt like the floor was falling from underneath me.

I decided not to say anything, and turned around to go back home. I tucked myself into bed and cried my way to sleep. At three in the morning, I woke up to the sound of Andrew making his way through the house.

"Mac? Mckenzie?" I heard him yell my name down the hallway of our apartment. I didn't answer, knowing that he would eventually make it to the room, "why didn't you show up?" he said and I could hear the drunkenness in  his voice. He was referring to the plancs we had made with some of the other guys on the team.

"Maybe because when I got there you were already being taken care of by some other girl?" I said trying not to sound upset, but the hurt was evident in my voice.

"What are you talking about?" Andrew asked, confused.

"When I showed up, you seemed pretty chummy with another girl. She was practically sitting on your lap. You didn't look like you needed me." I said

"Mac. That was just a fan. Come on, Mac. I was just being nice." He said coming closer to the bed. I was tired and just didn't feel like dealing with him.

"You can sleep on the couch. I'll talk to you in the morning." I said as I threw his pillow at him. He cought it easily and was heading out the door when suddenly he stopped and leaned against the door frame, with his back still to me.

"I love you, okay?" Andrew said he abrubtly turned around. I could see tears forming in his eyes, "Do you not see that?" He said almost yelling. I was speechless. I had told Andrew when we started dating to never use those words unless he really meant them. We had been together for a little over a year, and neither of us had said those three words once. I said up in bed as I watched Andrew walk towards me. He gently sat on the end of the bed, minding to keep space between us.

"Please, Mac. Don't shut me out. I really fucking love you. I'm sorry about tonight. I didn't mean for it to upset you. Just," Andrew paused as a single tear fell from his eye, "don't give up on us. Please."

I sniffled back tears, "I love you too," I whispered. "I love you so much that I was so scared of losing you tonight"

Andrew scooted closer to me, entwining our fingers together, "I'm not going anywhere," he whispered, scooping me into his arms.

"I'm sorry, Mac. I'm sorry I haven't shown you how much you mean to me. I'm sorry for ever giving you a reason to doubt me, and us. I love you so much, and I'm not going anywhere. Ever."

We laid in bed for a while until Andrew broke the silence. "So, does this mean I can sleep in our bed tonight?"

I laughed, "I guess so. Just, say it one more time."

Andrew chuckled then kissed behind my ear and whispering, "I love you so much, Mckenzie."
