Kalisha strode down the metal halls, fists and jaw clenched. She could still hear the evil voice within her head calling out to her, torturing her.

‘Join me. Join me. Join me.’ The retched voice wouldn’t shut up, and it was driving her insane. Perhaps that was its intention. It had said that she was going to go insane.

‘What am I thinking?! There is no, it. “It” isn’t even real. SHIELD is just trying to mess with you, again. Get your act together, Kali!’ Kalisha mentally slapped herself and held her head up high. She was not going to let them beat her, not again.

Walking up to Kirsten’s room, the door slid open allowing for her to come in. As she made her way through piles of boxes, she began to hear slight snoring. Was Kirsten a snorer? She had never heard her snore before.

‘Oh, this is good.’ She thought to herself as she continued her way through the cluttered room in search for Kirsten. After a quick moment of searching, Kalisha found her crazy friend sprawled out on the floor. Yep, she was out cold.

Deciding to have a look at Kirsten’s new room, Kalisha pulled her gaze from the sleeping girl. The space was pretty bland, with nothing really special about it. There was definitely room for some improvement, but that was your typical SHIELD for you.

Boring.

As Kalisha continued to inspect the room, she suddenly came across a box marked “Kali&Ray”. Instantly becoming interested, she made her way towards the box. It was probably just a bunch of pictures, but what’s the harm of a going down memory lane for awhile?

Kalisha dug through the box and picked up random, little envelopes. Most of them said “Walmart” or “Fred Myers”, but some of them were placed into normal, household envelops branded “special”. Intrigued, she opened the “special” ones first.

Kalisha first pulled out a photo of the three of them at the river. Oh, yes, the river. No wonder this was special to her.

If only she knew the truth that day; if only Kirsten was able to know the truth. Then and only then would Kalisha be able to get rid of the horid memories that haunted her every second of every day.

What Kalisha did that day could never be undone...nor forgotten.

“Fond memories, huh?” Kalisha bolted up in her seat when she suddenly heard Kirsten’s voice.

Clearing her throat of the backed up mucus, she answered. “I didn’t know that you kept all of these.” Laughing, Kirsten took a seat next to her dear, old pal.

“What else would I have done with them? There are so many memories in these photos; every single one of them.”

“Yeah, that may be true. I’m just a little surprised that’s all.” Kirsten glanced up at Kalisha with a confused look on her face.

“What on earth are you surprised about?”

“Oh,” Kalisha stretched out her arms, leisurely resting them behind her head. “you aren’t the most organized or, how do I say this, sentimental person out there.” Kirsten scoffed.

“Look who’s talking.” She replied with a hint of amusement hidden within her voice, proving to Kalisha that she wasn’t frustrated or angered by her remark, but simply astonished and a bit taken back.

The two girls had been friends since diapers. There was little to nothing that they didn’t know about each other, or so Kirsten thought.

It is true, Kalisha knew everything there was to know about the sweet and innocent Kirsten. Well, being a SHIELD agent didn’t help. And because Kalisha was such a wonderful agent, there was so much more for Kirsten to find out, just not anytime soon.

There are certain things that friends just don’t need to know about each other. Whether it’s a bad past or possibly even a great sin, some things should never be brought up or known about. Especially by the ones whom we love most.

That was the way Kalisha lived, and that was the way she was going to keep it for a very long time. No matter what.

*Ahh! I know its short and I know that I haven't updated since like...last year...so please forgive me. Oh...you're not going to. S-sorry. I will try my best to make it up to you.*
