I sat in silence as my parents bickered about something unimportant. I yawned and slumped down in my chair. I guess I had fallen asleep because I woke up to a dark house. I figured out were I was from the glow of the bathroom light. A fly buzzed around my face and I swatted it with the back of my hand.
I heard a thud from upstairs. I thought it was my father thrashing in the night. Dazed, I slowly walked up the old wooden stairs of my 1920's house. I fell on to my bed. I groaned at my squeaky mattress that sagged in the center.
For some odd reason the air felt full. I looked at my room it seemed oddly unfamiliar. My eyes searched for things to make out in the heavy darkness. as my eyes adjusted to the darkness I saw my dresser with a drawer not all the way pushed in. I could faintly see my closet with one door barely open. I remember thinking that I had not left it that way and that my mom probley came in to reclaim the shirt I had took two days before.
I somehow fell back in to a unrest-full sleep. I woke up before the sunrise. I could here my early riser mom rushing around down In the kitchen. I recognized the all to familiar smell of coffee. I rolled toward the wall try to rush back into a deep sleep. Realizing that was not going to work. I sat up. I stepped off my bed. My cold floor was unpleasant. I walked to my phone laying on my desk. The green bar was full ready for the day ahead. I jumped back on my bed and flipped through Ifunny pictures that really were not all that funny.
It had been around a half hour. I received a text. At least someone wanted to text me. I looked at the messenger. It was just a At&t text asking me to take a quick survey. Realizing it had grown hot in my room I slipped the window open. I layed back down. Instagram looked somewhat interesting but to my disappointment it was too early in the morning and no one had posted anything new. I figured I was done being in bed. I got up the floor was no warmer then it had been earlier. I put on a big sweat shirt that had the name of my former school on it. I went out my door.
I went into the play room. That now since me and my sister are teenagers just consists of a couch a t.v and a few extra board games in the conner. Although the room was bland it ad to be my favorite room in the house. I grabed the cozy blanket that layed over the conner of the couch. I switched on the t.v.
Some show that was so absolutely stupid was on. It was perfect. The mindless show was just what I needed to be watching. I found my self in the middle of a marathon. I looked at the t.v guide to see what time it was I had already spent two whole hours watching t.v.
I went down stairs. I almost missed the last step and fell on my face. I was clumsy though so fall was a daily occurrence. I heard my parents talk about how cold it is going to be next week. I entered the kitchen. I saw my mother had made my favorite breakfast. i served my self and thanked my mother.
The rest of my day slipped by. It mostly consisted of watching t.v. I considered asking my friend to go to the mall with me but I was much to lazy for that.
I got in bed that night I was not at all tired but as soon as I hit the sheets I almost fell asleep. Their is a big reason I just used the word almost.
