One year later
"Goodnight Chicago!" I yell as we close out the last concert on our national tour. I can't believe an entire year has gone by since we won that battle of the bands competition.
Now we are world famous and have already released three number one hits, seven top ten hits, and one platinum album. We were already half way through with our second album that is scheduled to be released in September.
Alex and I were still going on strong. We managed to find time to spend together and go on dates. We had also been named America's cutest couple. Magazines were even talking about a wedding on the horizon, even though the two of us were now only eighteen. Both of our birthdays passed a few months ago.
The entire band is going to graduate high school in a few weeks with the rest of our friends. Thankfully we had gotten all of our credits done while we were on the tour. Thank god for tutors!
"Man, Chicago was insane!" Drew yells when we walk backstage.
"Dude, did you see all of those hot chicks in the front row? I so want to tap that!" Connor says and I inwardly cringe at his choice of words.
Another thing I haven't mentioned. Alex and I have not done the deed. I told him I was waiting until I got married. And so far he has respected my wishes and not pressured me into it.
Alex laughs at the two of them and wraps his arm around my waist. I instinctively lean into his touch.
"Okay lovlies, wardrobe change then out there to sign autographs." our manager Natasha orders. She was fairly tall with really long black hair. I would say she was in her early thirties. All of us loved her. She let us have fun, but also keeps us in line.
"Ma'am, yes ma'am!" Drew responds chuckling. I roll my eyes at him and detach myself from Alex's side, going to my dressing room to change out of my sweaty clothes.
You have no idea how much work is put into performing. We spend hours upon hours rehearsing. And we are also required to workout. Not that I'm complaining since I now proudly show off my extremely toned stomach. Plus Alex is now ripped. I mean he was before, but now he is RIPPED. I have to restrain myself from drooling every time he takes his shirt off.
I walk into my dressing room and immediately start stripping. I grab some black skinny jeans and a turquoise halter top and pair it up with some black ankle boots and a turquoise bracelet. I quickly touch up my makeup and walk out of the room.
I head back over to where Natasha is and she tells me to go ahead and walk outside to sign some autographs with Connor and Drew. Apparently Alex is still getting changed.
As soon as I walk out of the double doors leading to the area where we sign autographs, I am assualted with screaming fans trying to get closer to me. Security gaurds immediately surround me, ready to intervene at any moment.
I smile at my fans and walk over to the closest person signing their t-shirt with our band's name on it. Suddenly there is more screaming and I turn around to see Alex walking out of the building. He meets my stare and gives me a breath taking smile. I smile back at him before he his surrounded by girls asking for his autograph.
I quickly reel in my jealousy before I do something I might regret. It's not like I don't trust him, because I do. I just don't like that many girls fauning over him. But I guess it comes with the territory.
After an hour of signing autographs it is finally okay for us to leave. We wave to our fans and quickly climb into the waiting limo. Alex sits beside me, while Drew and Connor sit across from us. It is already passed midnight and I am exhausted. I fight to keep my eyes open, but it is a losing battle. Alex notices and pulls me closer to him. I rest my head on his shoulder and fall asleep.
The next thing I know I am being dragged up to our hotel suite. When we get there I don't even bother changing out of my clothes. I do pull my shoes off though. I fall face first onto my bed and pass out.
The next morning I am woken up by my ringing phone.
"Hello?" I answer groggily.
"What's up chica?" I hear my best friend Mackenzie respond. I did keep in touch with all of my friends and family throughout the tour. They even came to a couple of our concerts.
"Why the hell are you calling at nine in the morning?" I ask her glancing at the clock beside my bed.
"You should be up anyway. You've got the whole day ahead of you. I'm so excited you're coming home!" she screeches into my ear.
"So am I. I am so happy that the tour is over. Endless nights of plane flights and screaming fans definitely wears a girl down." I respond.
"I can't believe we are graduating!" she says breathless.
"I know right! You are going off to college and I am going to be in the recording studio and traveling the world." I say excitedly.
My stomach growls loudly and I decide it is time to get some food before my stomach starts to digest itself.
"Well girl I have to go. I am so hungry! I'll see you tomorrow!" I say ending the call. I really miss all of the girls. And especially my family. It was hard going an entire year barely seeing any of them.
I walk out of my bedroom and into our huge suite. We have four rooms so we each get our own room, and there are two bathrooms. I demanded I get my own bathroom since I am the only girl. I really don't want to have to share one with any of the guys. I walk into the livingroom to find all of the guys already awake. Which is really surprising since they usually sleep until noon.
I grab a plate and pile it high with the pancakes that were delivered by room service earlier. I sit down at the table and dig in. And oh my god they were the best pancakes I've ever had! I had a clean plate in just a few minutes. I turn around and see that the guys are staring at me in awe.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" I ask.
"I have never seen a girl devour four pancakes in just a few minutes." Connor says.
"Oh, um sorry." I apologize.
"Don't be sorry. I thought it was sexy." Alex says grinning. That causes me to bust out in laughter. I finally calm myself down when there's a knock on the door. I go over and open it revealing Natasha.
"Your plane leaves in an hour and a half. So let's get a move on people!" she says ushering us to our rooms to get dressed. I decide to go for comfort instead of fashion since we will be on a plane and have disguises on so no one will know who we are. I pull on my running shorts and a baggy t-shirt grabbing my baseball hat and sunglasses as I walk out of the door with my suitcase. I quickly brush my teeth and my hair.
Soon we are in the limo on our way to the airport.
After forty-five minutes of waiting it is time for us to board our plane. Since we are first class we get on first. That is one of the perks of being famous. But no one on this plane knows since we have our baseball caps on low.
When everyone has boarded the plane we take off. I am so excited to finally be going home! And we get to graduate. No more school! Well for us right now at least.
A few hours later we land in Nashville, Tennessee. Now we have an hour drive to Adams. I am so excited to see everyone I can hardly wait. I even think about bribing our driver to go over the speed limit so we can get there faster. But I decide against it since it is illegal and I would like to stay alive.
During the car ride me, Alex, Drew, and Connor talk about the highlights of our tour. It was an hour filled with memories and laughter. Before I knew it we were home. I look out the window to see on of the most amazing sights ever. It was so amazing it borught tears to my eyes.
