As she went inside the Coffee Day, she saw a tall familiar figure standing next to the bill counter. She adjusted her hair, took out the gift she bought two days back from her backpack before she called out to him.
"Sumeet"
A fair man with a bun type upfront hairstyle, 3-Day stubble beard, and blue eyes turned around. The blue crystal he wore around his neck was perfect match for his eyes. He was in his formals. Though Felisa had not seen his broad shoulders, slender waist, and the six pack abs, she could imagine them behind his white shirt. A calm, light smile appeared on his face at the sight of Felisa.
Any woman would have fallen for that sight, and Felisa was no exception. But she had no feelings whatsoever. It was just lust, or at least that was what she thought.
So if such a hot man has a girlfriend, she must be a gorgeous sexy woman, right? But surprisingly, Felisa wasn't the perfect match for that hot spicy man. She was never the sexy type, rather she was always known for her simplicity. She wouldn't do her hair daily, just whatever convenient would do, except for a few occasions of course. Her dress had always been a t shirt and a pair of jeans. No fancy accessories. So when Sumeet asked her out the first time, she thought that he must have bored of having lots of sexy girlfriends and hence wanted a change for the time being. And it won't hurt her to have a sexy boyfriend for some time. So she didn't think twice before she said yes. She never imagined that their relationship would be celebrating one month anniversary. It was surprising to her that still Sumeet hasn't spoken about giving up on her, and she was planning to ask him about it sooner as she couldn't pretend to be in love, or as if she cares anymore.
Felisa, on the other hand, was not a girl, who would have said yes to anyone just because of their looks. In fact, she was regretting having said yes to him. She said yes because she thought he would broke up with her in a week or so, obviously which didn't happen. In this one month, apart from a few dinners, and movies, there had not been any progress. And the main point is that Felisa felt they had nothing in common.
"Hi, Fel.... Happy Anniversary.." Sumeet gestured her to sit as he walked towards her with a smile.
"Hi... Happy Anniversary to you too.. Did you order already?"
"Yeah.. I was kinda hungry and I thought you would be late. Speaking of that, I am sorry about earlier. I thought you forgot."
"No-no.. Don't be sorry. Actually, I did forget. Forgetting things is a part my life. I am sorry." She told him the truth as she thought he wouldn't mind.
"It's OK. It's normal for people to forget." Felisa noted that a disappointment flashed on his face. It was actually a good sign in a relationship, but the more Felisa thought about it, the more guilty she felt. 'Is he serious with her? If so, that would have meant she was betraying him.' The thought ran through her mind.
"Happy Anniversary again. Hope you like it." She placed the gift box in front of her and put the thoughts behind her back.
"Hey.... It's an amazing bracelet. I loved it." he said as he took out a leather bracelet with a hook design.
"Sorry, but I didn't bring any gifts for you." The guiltiness was apparent in his tone.
"Oh.. It's OK.. It's not like I bought the gift expecting a gift from you. I bought a gift because I wanted to." It seemed her answer lightened him up. He smiled.
"OK then, let's eat first." Sumeet said as the food were served.
"You ordered Sausage Muffins for me? How d'u know I love these?" Felisa was surprised that Sumeet knew her favorite breakfast.
"I once saw you excitedly talking that you had sausage muffins for breakfast to Snega."
"Wow..." Felisa was awestricken. She didn't know how to react. Was she that obvious?
"I wasn't stalking you, I promise" Sumeet joked with a straight face making Felisa laugh out loud.
They chatted silently as they ate their breakfast. No PDA. Nothing. They didn't looked like a couple celebrating their one month anniversary, rather friends catching up before office.
After their breakfast, they walked down the road towards their office."Guess after all you didn't forget about the anniversary totally." Sumeet said looking at the bracelet on his hand.
"I remembered it two days ago." She replied plainly to which he heaved a sigh with a smile and they walked silently side by side towards their office.
