The snow, seemingly white, pure and raw.

Alas, I reminisced the snow that fell on a harsh winter day.
I slipped once on ice yet fell more than twice. The icy sting remained as an after effect of our burning touch, you knew my heart couldn't handle much. I kept crumbling. I kept slipping when I didn't desire to keep falling.

Alas, I reminisced the snow that fell on a particular harsh winter day. I felt fatigue, plain tired. I couldn't even be bothered. The morning that promised clear spring had not arrived to wash away my woes and memory of our fleeting time as well.

Our icy exchanges etched itself in my mind and carved deep in my heart. Inch by inch I felt my heart riddled with pain, in regret for things that went naught. I allowed what else to overwhelm me instead of letting you  smash down my walls, pull me out of my cage and brush the thorns off of me.

Alas, I could only reminisce the snow that fell on a particular harsh winter day.
The snow, seemingly white, cold and clear as day.
