I woke up to notice my nana wasn't there, but the bed mom was in was. I got up as quickly as I could, to see my mom's beautiful face smiling. Her pretty brown eyes, she was where I got mine from, were glowing.

"Hi, honey."

"Mom, you're alive! What happened in the accident?"

"That's something I will have to tell you when we get home. So, did AJ make it?"

I looked into my moms eyes, speechless. I didn't exactly know how to tell my mom that my little sister, her 2nd kid, died in a car wreck. I knew my mom would think it was her fault, maybe even want to kill herself.

"No, she didn't make it, uh, Tara," said the nurse.

My eyes teared up, about to burst, at the sight of seeing my moms heart break.

"You are ready to be released though."

I helped my mom out of the bed as we cried. We walked down the hall, noticing my nana was checking her out. I went ahead and took mom to the car.

When I got ready to get in the car my mom screamed.

"Mom, what's wrong," I whispered trying not to draw more attention to us.

"No, why is Addie's booster seat here?"

I looked at my mom questionably. Nothing was there except for seat belts. I told her in a confused tone, "It isn't."

She tired to laugh it off, then, got in the car.
