Getting Back Into Writing

So um, not that I'm expecting anyone to have noticed, but I haven't written, well, ANYTHING in a long, long time. I wouldn't call it a writers block, I like to think of it more as not finding writing interesting anymore. I didn't want to write. And it's possible that right now I don't want to write either. So why are you writing then? Because I want to. If that makes any sense.

So I thought I'd tell a little anecdote to anyone that's willing to read. One about how I realized that life ALWAYS gets better. Don't believe me? Well...

You see I was never very popular, never had much friends, and even less that I would refer to as true. You know, the ones that you can tell anything, and you will tell them anything, just for the sake of telling them. Yeah, I never really had that.

Apart from that, I was going through other problems. My parents, their issues with alcohol and other drugs...Puberty, and the whole awkward package that came with it.

I didn't value myself as a person, basically. I thought I'd be alone forever. You know those old guys you see? The guys that you might find in a video rental place or something? Checking out some weird, Japanese film in the shadiest aisle of the whole store? That's how I thought of my future self. And I accepted that. I wasn't happy with it, of course.

It was like that for as long as I can remember, up until four months ago. It was the classic "boy-meets-girl" scenario. Except this time I thought "You know what? I'm gonna actually try this time"

And here I sit today. I make music, i make games, occasionally pay Wattpad a visit, and am in love with the most amazing person to ever grace the earth with their presence. I'm going somewhere in life. Where exactly? Design school.

Now, in saying that, there are still things about myself that I wouldn't call perfect.

But hey, then again, who's perfect?
