I do suggest listening to the song while reading. ^^

*****

Heavy rain flooded into the streets, everything aside from the pounding of constant drops of rain on concrete inaudible. A girl watched as raindrops poured down her, masking her many tears from the few passerbys determined to get home. Her eyes were dark, cold, and hazy; her lips soon began to tremble from the painfully cold rain. "....."

'Do you hear me?
A gloomy day covered in gray fog...
I'm afraid my eyes will get covered,
I've lost hope in everything,'

As thoughts run through her mind she found herself replaying the events that got her to this point, a breaking point, a self-hatred point, hope and love far from her reach. If she reached, a blazing fire would only consume her, she was better off in the rain, alone.

" I can't do this without you... come back. " she spoke softly, more tears disappearing into the rain as they fell off her cheeks. " Why did you leave me...? "

She remembered the funeral from just a few hours ago; where she stood at the casket of her best friend, tears welling up in her eyes as she placed a flower next to him. " Goodbye, Dad, " she had whispered, forcing herself to back up, away from the casket. " I'll miss you.. " before she could begin to cry in front of anyone, she ran, as far away as she could.

'Do you hear me?
I walk the streets and see a different way.
I turn around and there's nothing there,
The dreams that chase me I follow them.'

She stared off the edge of a bridge, unsure of what she should do with herself... if she ended it here, she wouldn't have to suffer anymore, nor would the people around her. She knew the moment she stepped into her home, she would hear that horrible word

Perhaps they were right? What if she was that cruel... to have killed her own father... if she wouldn't have missed the bus that rainy day, he would still be here. "I killed him.." she whispered, "It's my fault.."
