"So how's your week been?" Cassidy asked as she sat across from me with a pen in her hand.

"Fine" I said back.

Apart from the hospital visit, constant headaches and back spasms...
Oh, and seeing Penny hanging from a chain in a meat factory and blood coming out of my shower....

"(Y/N)?"

I was brought out of my thoughts from the sound of Cassidy's voice.

"Yeah?" I looked up from my hands to see her eyebrows furrowed together.

"Tell me what happened" She asked as she wrote quickly in her binder.

"What do you mean?" I asked, shifting my body on the couch.

"Well, what happened the night the accident happened?" She asked, looking up at me.

"Um, well I took a shower..." I began.

The flashbacks of blood clouded my thoughts and the high pitch laughter rang through my ears.

"And?" Her voice once again snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I fell." I said, looking her in the eyes.

She scribbled some things down in the binder again before stopping.

"You know, you have nothing to be ashamed of" she said, "you've been dealing with a lot lately but the first step to recovery is acceptance."

I starred at her, my eyes brows furrowing.

"I don't-" I said before she cut me off.

"You have so much to live for" she said, a small grin on her face.

"I'm not- I didn't try to do anything" I said, shaking my head.

She wrote more in the binder as I took a sip of water from the glass in the front of me.

I walked out of the office and through the lobby, pulling my jacket closer around my body. The weather was cold and rainy as I made my way to my car. I got in, put on my seatbelt and held onto the steering wheel.

Nobody would believe me.

I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. I put my head on the headrest gently and opened my eyes. I watched the people around me as they went on with their day to day routines. A postman was dropping off mail at every building, another was walking along the sidewalk in a suit with a briefcase. My mind wandered back to Penny as I stared out the front windshield. For the past year everything has gone from sweet dreams to horrible nightmares. In my dreams he was no longer his sweet self but something more sinister. I didn't know why it was happening, frankly I'd been too tired and too depressed to even question it.
