"Get the hell out of here!" Those were the last words I heard from her. Just the faint screaming of an angry finght between two young lovers, never have I met a girl as beautiful as she. Those times are long gone now though, just fated memories from a life I barely remember.
I'm what you might call a drifter, a loner, but truth is I'm just out trying to find myself. Young Ed just out trying to fing himself "Ha", I can't help but laugh at something so mediocre a teen could've come up with it. If I've learned anything drifting, from place to place, it's that everybody needs to laugh at themselves often. Modern life is taken far too seriously and that's one of my reasons for doing what I do.
I'm on my way to florida, I'm in texas at the moment but soon I'll be at the border. "Thanks for the ride man." I said "Yeah, no problem. I'm happy to help you find what your looking for, so where are you going?"
At this point I had only a feint idea of what I was doing but still replied with "I'm heading to florida, great weather year round." We were close to Louisiana and that's where this free ride ended. Once we got there I said thanks once again and I was on my way. Like always I never know how or where I'm going to get my next ride but it always seems to figure itself out.
I've found that although many people aren't always the kindest, most will at least care and be intrested in my journey. Some will offer rides or give me advice and I am thankful for that but I enjoy talking about it most of all. Where I've been or where I'm going, just finding kind strangers that have a will to interact such as I.
I may not know where I'm going, but I sure konw where I've been.
