“What do you mean she was transferred to another location this morning?” Erika yelled into her phone, while George talked to the head of security.

“On whose authority?” Her anger grew as the person on the other end, sprout out some nonsense.

“When I find out who is responsible for this, there is going to be hell to pay!” She hanged up and turned to George, who presented her the documents that were submitted for Morin.

“It’s our signature.” Her eyes carefully examine the alleged signature. It was obviously forged.

“The Academy got her.”

“No, this is not their work.”

“Then who?” George frowned before looking over the papers for further leads.

“Skylar.”

“Even if he does have her, we can’t just barge into his place without a search warrant,” George explained.

“Then get a warrant and call for backup,” she impatiently spat out, surprising her partner. “We need to find her before Skylar erase her from existence.”

“Erika, you need to be rational about this.” She glared at him for wasting time instead of doing what she asked. “Even if he does have her, he wouldn’t be stupid to bring her back to his place. It will be the first place where we would look.”

He had a point.

Erika dug her nails into her hands, trying to keep calm about this.

“Then what do you suggest we do then?”

George sighed at her tone.

“We wait.”

                                                                                 +++++++++++++++

“Dude, I don’t think you need to keep that gun on me the whole ride,” I eyed the gun pressed against my side.

I didn’t want to make any sudden movement because the men I was squished between, were tense enough already.

“It’s not like I could go anywhere or do anything.” They ignored my chatter.

“Can we at least turn on some music? I feel weird and I also need to pee.”

“Do you ever shut up?” The one on my right hissed out warningly at me.

“Dude I really need to pee.”

They went back to ignoring me.

“Fine, I will just pee right here then. Hope you like wet seat and the extra cleaning work later.” I grinned while one of them grunted out in annoyance.

“Tony, make a stop at the next gas station you see.”

“Thank you.” I sunk back into the seat. “So, any chance you guys gonna give me my one free phone call?”

No one answered.

When the van came to a stop, the guy paused at the door handle to gave menacing glare. “No funny business or I blow your brains out.”

“Yeah, yeah, sure. Brain blow out, can you please open the door?” When he did, I scrambled out of it and towards the restroom while the guys made sure to stick close behind me.

My hand furiously twisted the knob before I turned to the guys watching me hop up and down.

“It won’t open! Do something!” I gestured to the locked door.

“Mike, go get the key from the guy in the store.”

“Fuck the key! Just shoot the handle! I need to go!” I urgently hissed out between my clenched teeth.

“Go get the key.” They smirked at my desperation. I crossed my legs and tried not to pee myself.

When Mike came back, he tossed the key at me and I quickly caught it before using it to unlock the door.

“Asshole!” I spat out before slamming the door shut in their faces.

There is a saying when a door closes shut, a small window opens.

I grinned at the quote and squeezed my way out, before landing on my feet.

“Meow,” I purred out and went around to the store. The guy immediately eyed my greasy soot-covered face and bloodstained orange jumpsuit in suspicion.

“Hi, would you mind telling me where I could get baby wipes?”

His hand inched for his phone.

I gave him a toothy smile.

Five minutes later, Skylar's men barged into the little store with guns out and aimed at my head.

“Anyone of you got cash? I feel bad leaving without paying,” I loudly slurped the slushy, at least I looked human again.

Mike came at me and lifted me up from the front of my jumpsuit. “I warned you bitch.”

“Yeah, and I heard you, loud and clear.” He must have noticed the dangerous glint in my eyes as he roughly dragged me back to the van.

The clerk was long gone before they came in. Smart guy.

“Listen, if I wanted to run, I would be long gone and if I wanted you dead,” I pulled my arm free when we reached the van. “You would be dead.”

He froze when he found himself, staring at the barrel of his own gun. He didn’t even notice my hand slipping into his jacket and stealing it.

“But I won’t do it,” I twirled it in my hand and returned it to him. He quickly snatched it back. “Your boss and I are overdue for a chat, let’s not keep him waiting, shall we?”

When his buddy finally joined him, he also noticed my change in demeanor, everything about me now cried out danger to those around me.

I was about to enter a tiger's den, I can’t go reeking of Bambi when I am a fucking satellite.

The rest of the drive was silent.
When we finally stopped again, the guy reached over and pushed the door open.

I let out a low whistle at the large estate. The sight made me feel like a heroine in a classic mobster movie.

“Say hello to my little friend,” I murmured to myself as the guys led me inside. The place was huge and full of expensive things.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the guy's toilet was made out of gold.

There were men with guns standing in every corner, Skylar was taking full precaution, I almost felt honored.

“Wait here.”
