Chapter 1.
ISABELLA POV
I slipped into my knee length black dress and black heels with diamantes. Today I was attending my best friend Lexi’s funeral. After everything she helped me through, I couldn’t help her through her biggest struggle. I straightened my dark brown hair, letting it flow down to my hips, I applied minimal foundation, no mascara or eyeliner today. I heard a knock on the door, it was my good friend. Niall, we met one day at x-factor boot camp, thing is he’s now famous and I didn’t even get through. Anyway Niall was here because his band was asked to perform Lexi’s favourite song What Makes You Beautiful. Lexi was an amazing singer; she sang that song to me countless times, to make me feel like I was beautiful. Niall was also here to support me.
“Hey Bella” Niall said greeting me with a hug. “You look beautiful today” he smiled
“Thanks Ni, you look very dressed up in that suit.” I grinned.
He just laughed as I followed him out to his car.
“So how have you been” he said touching on the more sensitive subject.
“Alright, I guess.” I said forcing a smile.
“Hey, don’t beat yourself up about it, you didn’t know what was going through her mind.” He said gripping my hand tightly. “Anyways, I have someone for you to meet, today, you might like him.” He grinned cheekily at me.
“Don’t set me up with another boy, Ni.” I whined.
“Hey I’m not setting you up, just thought we could all party after, it would be awkward if you didn’t know his name and he came to the party.” He said smiling.
“Fine, but you do know we are going to a funeral not a party” I said smiling a bit.
Trying to push the negative thoughts away, he nodded and as he did we pulled up out the front of the church, there was the other boys, with 4 other guys I had never seen before. Then there was Lexi’s family all standing around each other.
“Ni, I might go see Lexi’s family first” I said forcing a smile to stay strong.
“Ok, we’ll be over here.”
I walked over sensing the sadness filling the air.
“Bella, how have you been?” Lexi’s mum asked.
“I’ve been alright, just trying to get through each day.” I said.
Lexi’s mum and dad just gave me a hug, they are like my second parents.
“Thank you for organising the boys to come and perform.” Lexi’s dad said. “She would have loved it.”
“It’s ok, I don’t mind.” I said smiling, feeling a bit more at ease.
“And who’s this beautiful girl.” Lexi’s nan came over.
“Hello.” I said
“You have grown up load s since I last saw you Bella.” She smiled.
“Thanks.” I sad hugging her. “Anyway, Niall said he is going to introduce me to somebody, so I better head back over there.” I said smiling as my eyes started t tears up a bit.
I headed back over to the boys, who were standing around, I blinked a couple of times and the two tears ran down my face. But they just kept trickling down my face.
