An Inspiration To All
I would have to say, without doubt, that my favorite inspirational quote is by John Green, he says, “Don’t forget to be awesome.” Otherwise know to the world as, DFTBA.
I’m just fond of the way John always says this. Every single day. (I am a nerdfighter.) I mean, come on, you can’t tell me you don’t find this quote inspirational, in the slightest.
Don’t forget to be awesome. It’s like telling people, ‘Don’t forget to be yourself!’ And I absolutely love that! Be yourself.
I’m an artist, so, I take this quote to heart. I have a poster of that on my wall. And every time before I paint or sketch, I say it to myself. Don’t forget to be awesome. Those five words fuel me. They fuel my creativity, every ounce of it, until it just overflows. It inspires me to do my best at whatever it is I’m doing.
It inspires me to experiment with my writing and my art in so many different kinds of ways. When I say those words, whether I’m writing or painting, I feel the need to everything into what I’m creating, to make my work scream my name. And it’s what I do all the time. Inspiration, no matter where it comes from, it does its job. It fuels you, energizes you. And that’s all I really need.
I try my best to spread the inspiration. To everybody, because you never know how many people these five words can effect, can fuel. Just hearing them makes me smile
So, in the words of John Green, don’t forget to be awesome.
