It has been raining for the past four weeks already, being a Los Angeles native our winter consists of few weeks of rain, sunshine. I love LA the beach, great little coffee shops, and just everything.
I usually love to go to this little coffee shop called urth café. It is so lovely but lately I have not been able to go since it has been raining all the damn time, don’t get me wrong I love the rain and love to take strolls in it but it does get annoying when it pours hard and you don’t have a car.
Anyways I’m getting ready for my moms dinner party she’s having, kind of like an early Christmas party before everyone goes out of town to visit family and such.
I wish I could just go and take a stroll to get a slurpee from seven eleven but mom says I cant since the robbery that took place, plus I have to go to court to testify what happened since I was the only witness.I am really unsure if I should turn in that bracelet that got caught on my sweater when the robber grabbed me, it is evidence and could certainly prove who ever he is that he is guilty. But there is something telling me to keep it and not tell anyone. I hate having these feelings I know its wrong he’s a robber and all but that touch and electricity I felt was just so strong.
I know this may sound silly but I believe in true love, soul mates and all that corny stuff, what if he is it, that touch it was mind blowing. What if he felt it too and that’s why I got out there alive. Only if I knew hmmm know that I think about it I don’t know which guy it was they did say one was 38 and the other robber was 19. Oh I hope it’s the 19 year old. I could be over thinking this it could have just been nothing, yes! It was nothing from now on I will stop thinking about it and just believe it was nothing.
“ MADDY! Are you ready you have to help me set the table for the food!”
“Okay mom I’m coming down”
I hurry and put on my lovely wool dress that I got from H&M, and some platform heels.
As I go down the stairs I hear the door bell ring and mom answers it
“why hello Dorothy is that Matt he’s grown so much, Matt how tall are you now”
“about 6’3”
“oh my! Well come on in both of you we are just about to set the table, you know how it is time goes by fast”
“Matt why don’t you go in and help Maddy set the table so me and your mother can talk”, mom say.
I hear footsteps nearing me so I hurry to the cabinet to get plates to make it look like I’m doing something.
I know who matt is we have went to school together since we were young, but we never really talked before.
“Need any help” I hear Matt say to be
“What, oh yea sure get the spoons and stuff, their I that drawer”
Damn I forgot how cute he is okay Maddy straighten up and don’t get all shy and blush what so ever.
“So Maddy I heard you witnessed a robbery” Matt said
“Yea but it was nothing really just robbers looking for money with guns the usual” I say
“hahahaa, the usual never heard that one” Matt says laughing.
Wow I thought I made him laugh this could lead to something, I hope hes so cute. He kind of reminds me of Channing Tatum with a little Orlando Bloom I know sounds like a silly description but its true.
“okay I set all the utensils” he says
“good, know the tables ready im gonna go to my room now” I say
as I start to walk out I hear “can I go with you?” I turn around and see Matt staring at me “uhhhhh, sure” I mumble not sure what to think. I start heading to my room hearing Matts big foot steps right behind me.
Im wondering why he would want to come to my room, as we reach the top of the stairs I see from my view that my room is a mess.
I totally forgot to pick up my stuff not thinking anyone would want to go in there.
“Sorry about the mess in my room just thought I’d tell you now before you see it.” I say
“its cool” he replies simply.
We go in my room and I close the door.
I turn around and see him already making himself comfortable and sitting on my bed
So I built up the courage and asked him, “so why did you wanna come in my room for?”
“Well what guy doesn’t want to be in a hot girls room plus you got some sexy under wear laying around here” he says
shocked I didn’t say anything
“But really I just wanted to smoke a blunt and I thought I could in your room” he said
“What nooo not in here what if someone comes in or smells it in the hall way” I said frantically.
“Don’t worry you wont get in trouble we’ll just smoke it by the window and take out the screen”
“ did you say we?” I say
“Yes silly we, I have to be courteous it is your room”, Matt mentions
Then I hear footsteps and my room door open
My mom comes in says the police just called and said I have to go to there station tomorrow to see the robbers face to face to verify.
“is that marijuana!”, mom says
Both me and Matt sat there shocked
