Chapter One - New School

I got off my bus as I saw my new school in front of me. It's a lot smaller than my old school. That thought kind of made me frown a little but the idea of a new start made me smile again. Alright Atsuki, time to start a new life! This is your chance to not be known as a psychopath!
"Hello!" I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw a short blonde girl in front of me. She had her hair in a ponytail as well as some u-shaped bangs, dark blue eyes and very fair skin. I kind of blushed in embarrassment since it was unexpected and stuttered out a hello.
"Are you new? What's your name? I'm Cara!" She smiled energetically at me. "Uhm... Atsuki, and yes I'm new. I'm from America." I calmly answered her questions, after getting over my embarrassed stuttering.
"That's so cool! I've always wanted to meet an American!" She smiled even more at me. I gave her a small smile back to not be rude, although I felt really uncomfortable right now.
"Want to walk to the school yard with me?" I was kind of confused at that question but said a quite ok as we started walking. She was blabbering on but I didn't really pay attention to it.

Once the bell rang for us to find out our classes I was pretty confused since I didn't know where to go. I also didn't want to ask Cara for help though.
"Do you know where to go?" She asked me. Was she reading my mind?
"Uh... no?" I didn't really know how to respond.
"Follow me, I'll show you!" She smiled and offered me her hand, I didn't take it. I did follow her though.
She didn't seem upset about me not taking her hand? I mean that's good but weird.
"Were at the doors! Only the grade sixes are over here and there's two different teachers, so we'll see who gets with what teacher!" I only understood a small portion of that because of how fast she talks but whatever, I kind of understand.

"Atsuki Andersons, you're also with Mrs. Roy."
"Yay we both have the same teacher! This is gonna be so fun!" Cara happily exclaimed. Why does she seem so happy about it? Does she want something from me? I gave a unsure smile to Cara and a small nod to the teacher who told me my teacher, afterwards following Mrs. Roy to my new classroom.

When I walked into the room the teacher informed everyone to put there stuff in the coatroom on the hook with their name and to then find the seat with our names on it. Everyone else's hooks where on the side of the wall but mine was in the corner and this girl was beside me, and because the stupid door was beside her we were pretty much shoulder to shoulder and I had no freaking space. Well this is gonna be hella annoying. After that nonsense I went to find my desk and realized that they where desks of six. What the hell is this crap about? I walked over to my seat and was relieved to be sitting on the end and not be smushed in the middle.
"Hey, are you friends with Cara?"
I looked up to see some brunette boy, his hair in a styled but messy side fringe with black glasses and fair skin, his skin a bit darker than Cara's. He also had bright blue eyes. His eyes are really distracting. I realized I hadn't answered his question yet and blushed from embarrassment. "U-uh I think so?" I answered his question unsurely.
"Cool, I'm Kaleb, what's your name?"
"Atsuki."
"Cool name, it's unique."
I blushed really red and probably looked very confused, I mean I did used to get bullied for my name back in California and no one ever compliments me in general.
"Wait you do?"
He laughed slightly and just nodded.
"These desks are so fucking annoying."
Me and Kaleb looked over to a girl with long, somewhat wavy dark brown hair and long fringe bangs. Her hair is a lot darker than Kaleb's. She also had dark blue eyes, skin almost exactly like Kaleb's and small nose freckles, kind of like me. I didn't really think anything of her though. Just another face.
"Shut up already, Daci." The dude between Kaleb and so I assume is Daci started complaining as well. I can tell I'm gonna dislike that guy just by the way he looks and speaks. Bleh.
Mrs. Roy walked into the classroom and started speaking.
"Before I say anything else I would like to apologize for the desks, I promise tomorrow you'll have better ones." She kindly smiled at everyone after her sentence. She seems nice, kind of like Ms. Coral. She continued talking and basically just explained our schedule and all that stuff I don't really care about.

The rest of the school day was pretty chill, nothing really happened. I did talk with Kaleb the whole day though, so that was nice I guess.
At the end of the day Cara had approached me.
"Hey! Since we didn't talk since this morning wanna walk to our bus line together?" Wait what?
"We take the same bus?" I asked her, confused. She just giggled and nodded at me. It kind of made me blush a bit since I thought I looked dumb but I just went along with it.
