[Ramona's POV]

Ew. My alarm is blaring in my ear. I roll over in my messy bed to look at my phone. I squint my eyes at the, what seems to be, blinding light. I read the time displayed on the cracked screen of my iPhone 8. 5 am. It's the morning of the first day of high school and I want to throw up. I'm NOT ready to go back. This is not ok. I press the orange button that read snooze on the bright screen in front of my face. I roll over in my bed, pulling the covers over my face to shade it from the sunrise peeking thru my blinds. As I'm about to fall back asleep my alarm goes off again. 5:09 am. This totally blows. I roll over in my sheets and stare at the ceiling for a bit before deciding to finally get out of bed. I yawn, rubbing my eyes as I sit at the edge of my bed. I pet my dog's head, my eyes still closed. He rolls over and stretches before curling back up into a tight ball. I groggily get up and walk into my closet. I walk over the pile of dirty clothes and stop in front of the big laundry bin of clean clothes. They're all folded nice and neatly.... or they were....
I aggressively start digging thru the bin looking for a decent outfit to wear. Gotta make a good first impression, right? I managed to find a cute outfit to wear. An oversized, grey KISS t-shirt with a striped long sleeve shirt under it. I pair it with a plaid skirt, and some black boots:

I put on the outfit and tie up the shirt into a crop top with a hair tie

I put on the outfit and tie up the shirt into a crop top with a hair tie. I walk out of my closet and into my bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth. I brushed my short black hair and styled it. I then open up my bag of makeup and did it as quick as possible. I walk out of my bathroom and into the kitchen. I see my backpack sitting on one of the chairs at the table. I glance over at my mom who I see was making bacon and eggs.

"Hey mom." I say sneaking up behind her and stealing a piece of bacon off the plate next to her. I take a bite an immediately burn my tongue on the piping hot food in my mouth.

"AaAaAaHhHh! Why didn't you tell me it was so hot!?" I say looking at my mom as I continue to try and chew the bacon.

"I thought you would have enough common sense to know that it just came off the pan." She glances at my with a smirk on her face.

"Haha! Very funny!" I say squinting at her in a sarcastic tone. I walk over to the cabinets to grab a plate. I scoop some scrambled eggs onto my plate and carefully take some bacon. I carry my plate over to the table. I quickly eat it with a cup of coffee. I look at the time on the stove. 7:30 am. SHOOT!! I'm gonna be late! I throw my bag over my shoulder as a take one last bite out of my bacon. I race to the hallway and grab a pair of house keys.

"BYE EVERYONE!!" I yell halfway out the door. I run down the steps and started walking to the bus stop that was down the street. I turn the corner and see the bus driving away. I watch, wide eyed, as the bus gets smaller and smaller.

"I just missed the bus." I whisper to myself.

"Oh my god!" I yell as I turn around and start walking.

  ——————20 minutes later——————

As I'm walking up to the school I pull out my phone to check the time. 8:06 am. I just missed the late bell. Great, just great.

"I'm late because I missed the bus and I had to walk to school. Could this day get any worse!" I mumble under my breath as the front door unlocks.
