A very deep person

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid me I thought as I sat in the chair in front of the principle. Why did I do that? I looked over at Luke who's face was bruised. Oh yeah. That's why.  The principle, Ms.Brooke, was an alright principle. She wasn't really who you found in books. She was actually really nice. She had 2 toddlers so it was just instinct to go all mother on us sometimes.

"So, what happened exactly?" She looked at the kid "Jonas?"

"Luke broke my camera and I told him he had to pay for it." He said.

I was surprised. He was ratting on Luke and he didn't sound afraid.

"Ok." Ms.Brooke said "so you you ask him to pay for the camera—"

"No. I told him." Jonas corrected her

She sighed "ok you told him and you ,Luke, being the reasonable person you are decide to confront him I'm assuming." 

Luke didn't say anything. He folded his arms and looked down at the floor.

"Ok." She said moving on. "Things start to get heated and where do you come in?" 

Her eyes rested on me. 

I shrugged. "That's a good question. It was an unfair fight I guess."

"Hmmm...honorable I guess yet really really not wise choice."

She made it sound wrong as if I had done something wrong. I didn't agree. I just tried to help. That was all but see where helping got me. 

She quickly looked over at luke's Henchman ,jimmy and Harold, before saying

"Don't worry boys. I already know what part you two played."

She sat back "anyway I'm just glad scarlet came and got me because if not than I would've been getting a lot of calls from your parents about broken bones. So here is what we're going to do. Luke and Jonas, you both get 2 weeks detention but Luke has to pay for the camera before 2 weeks is up. Jimmy and Harold, you both will also get 2 weeks detention."

 I swallowed hard. Yea. I'm scared. If I get two weeks detention then I'm done. Mom will make sure of that. I mind as will dig out my grave right now. 

"And as for you thomas I won't punish you because you were only trying to help the situation but next time find a better way to do it because next time I won't let you off so easy."

I nodded, secretly relieved. We got up and all left. Luke gave me a look as we were leaving. A look that said your going get it.before I left ms.brooke told me and  Jonas to make sure we stop by at the nurse's office to make sure we're all right. We nodded. I thought it was funny how she didn't tell Luke anything even though he was the one with bruise on his face. I walked to my locker and grabbed my books. When I closed it Jonas was standing there.

"Hey man."

"Um...hey." 

"Thanks for what you did dude. If you hadn't jumped in Luke would've gone all out." 

"No problem."

I started walking away but Jonas followed.

"That dude has issues.I still can't believe it. That was a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV EF 30.4 MP"

I looked at him blankly.

"The camera dude."

"Oh. Right."
