I'd finally made it. I'd finally walked out of the John F. Kennedy Airport! NEW YORK CITY BABY! The excitement bubbled in me.
I wish my parents came with me, but I doubt they'd give a shit about me. To them it's all about their job and money. I guess I should introduce myself huh? I'm Bec, Bec King, and my parents are millionaires. Knowing you, you're probably jealous of me, travelling the world by myself at the age of 18, but believe me having parents who couldn't care less about you sucks.
Wanna know how I told my parents I'm leaving? I didn't. I left a note on the coffee table saying "going out, see ya, call me if you need." It's been about 24 hours, and they haven't called once. But I've always wanted to travel the world, and now that I'm finally DONE with High School (or College for you americans) i have the chance to.
I'd hailed the next cab that came and immediately set him off to the Hyatt Hotel, and too step on it.
"So, where you from?" The driver said in his New York accent.
"Melbourne, Australia" I reply back.
"Oh, awesome accent! I'd love to go to Aust-" He says, trying to start a conversation.
"No, believe me you wouldn't, Australia sucks." I interupt.
After that, the tension in the cab got a little awkward, but the guy didn't say a word. After I got to the hotel, all I wanted to do was get to my suite, and since my parents were paying I decided to go..well a little classy.
As I got to the front desk, I noticed the lady stared at me with a fake sincere smile.
"Hi! Welcome to the Hyatt Hotel!"
"Hey, I'm Lily King, I've booked out the presidential suite?"
The lady at the front of the desk just looked at me with a sarcastic smile, clearly not believing that I could afford it.
After about 15 minutes and a lot of manager calling, the lady finally came to terms that the presidential suite was mine, and got one of the workers to usher me to the room.
"So... What's your deal?" The guy asked me, innocently.
"Deal? What do you mean deal?" I question back, confused. Was he hitting on me?
"How can an 18 year old girl afford a presidential suite for 2 months?"
"I buy and sell stocks." I lie to him, unnecessarily. It's easier to say that then say that my parents own coal mining companies.
"Oh very nice, well you're going to have to teach me one day." He says jokingly as he opens the door to my room, even I crack a small smile.
I stare at the room in awe, it was MASSIVE!
As the man leaves my bags in the living room, I find the nearest bed and go to sleep, it'd had been a long day.

In the other news, this idea had come to me for a while, you guys will love it.
Tbh I was going to make the main character a guy, as the role suited it more but no one would really relate to that would they :P Tell me what you guys think!
Thanks for reading guys, Comment what you think :]
