.:CHAPTER 4:.
Kaydence's POV:
Today, me and Miller are supposed to be going out for coffee. It's been a week since he started coming to see my mom, by now I've gotten his phone number and we're pretty close.
He knows about me. The only this is, I'm not really allowed to know anything about him, that my mom knows.
I sit at the table, waiting for him to get my coffee. He grabbed the cups and sat down across from me.
"One, Peppermint Mocha." He said, handing me my coffee. I loved the way his fingers were shaped. Slim and long, his fingernails were clean and he had no cuticles showing. Very clean.
"Thanks, Miller." I said, taking a sip of the boiling hot drink.
He stares at me, as we sit in silence.
"So, tell me about you." He breaks the silence. I sigh and think to myself, should I tell him?
"Well, I'm 17, I like to have fun, party, drink, I don't smoke surprisingly, I'm an only child, I like to cook and I like to watch fireworks." I say, counting off the things on my fingers.
"Wow, you're very interesting." He says, leaning on the table.
"Your turn now."
"I really don't have anything to tell anybody."
"C'mon. Every normal person has a story."
"What makes you think I'm normal?" He looked a little offended by my statement.
"You act normal." I reply, trying not to sound weird.
"A normal person, wouldn't have to go to a fucking therapist for being completely insane." He bursted out. I was expecting a couple looks but no one really paid any attention.
"Just because you go to therapy, doesn't (a) make you insane or (b) doesn't make you not normal." I now was getting a little upset.
"I shouldn't even have to be in fucking therapy. I've done nothing satanic or bad." His use of 'satanic' was scary.
"Being crazy is easier to be, than being normal." I said, standing up and grabbing my coffee before leaving. I wouldn't be surprised if smoke was coming out of my ears.
I was furious. I wasn't normal and he wanted to be normal. Normal is impossible. For everyone. You can try to be normal, but you'll fail.
I held the coffee in my hands, while snuggling into my jacket.
I heard footsteps behind me and I turned around to see Miller.
"Kay, slow down. Dammit." He says, trying to keep up with me.
"What do you want Miller. To be normal?!" I say, without thinking.
"It would be nice."
"Screw normal." I whispered.
He grasped my arm and turned me around to face him. He towered over me, staring into my eyes. I noticed a little bruise above his eyebrow on his forehead.
He didn't say anything, just stared blankly at my face. I felt chills shiver down my spine. I knew that hew as going to kiss me and I didn't want that.
I want to wait, I want my first REAL kiss to be special. I held tightly onto his forearms.
"Miller," I whispered.
He glanced down at me.
"We should go," I said, taking his hands off me and started walking with him beside me. He followed me until we arrived at my home.
I knew that he lived pretty far, so I told him that I would drive him there.
We got into my car and he gave me the directions. Then we got started talking about things. Bad things.
