Luna and Venus had been invited to the monthly Witch's Society of America meeting. Every witch within the society had been asked to attend it. Luna asked her older sister as they flew on their broomsticks to the WSA headquarters, "I wonder if they'll mention the recent murders?". Venus replied: "Of course they will! I think it has everyone shaken.". The witches were all ushered into a brightly lit room with along table in the middle. Violet was seated at the head of the table as usual. A lot Luna's fellow witches asked her if she was okay, they had all heard about her potion debacle. Violet cleared her throat and stated: "Greetings witches, thank you for joining us for this meeting. As we all know this has been a difficult time for some of us but I think that it's a testament to our strength that we're still standing.". The witches in the room clapped and then the meeting continued.
The portion of the meeting everyone had been waiting for came, Violet, addressed the murders. Violet said, "Well, there have been two murders recently in our community. We still do not know who did the killings. How does everyone feel about this?". Luna immediately replied: "I think there's someone out there who hates us and wants all of us dead!". Venus responded, "No, no. No one knows about us. Also, that guy died at my birthday party and he wasn't a witch.". Luna sighed but she nodded her head so they could end their argument. Most of her fellow witches in the WSA talked of their concern that people were dying but did not have any ideas of who did the killings.
After the meeting was done Luna stayed because she had a Protector of the Covenant training. She asked Violet: "Do you have any idea what the final challenge will be?", after what happened last time she was anxious to complete the last level. Violet replied, "No but don't worry, I will make sure it's less dangerous than last years. The spell we're doing today I think will be of great importance to you being a teenager in all. It's a 'charge your phone instantly' spell.". They got six olives and a cup of wolf's bane then Luna divided the olives into half. She put three in her left pocket and three in her right with her phone in her hands then shook the cup of wolf's bane. She chanted, ''1, 2, 3, charge me - so mote it be!''. Once the spell was done, she was happy to see her phone go from 10% to 100% and went home.
Luna was in biology class when Mr Holland exclaimed: "Luna! Please pay attention!". With all the murder going on around her she couldn't help but feel on edge, she felt like no one else was taking it seriously. When Mr Holland called her she had been looking out the window after she heard a noise. Luna was embarrassed and replied: "Oh sorry, where were we?". Mr Holland, who already had a strong disliking towards her, shook his head and sighed: "You were supposed to tell us what you answered for question 8 on the lab report.". Luna's hands were shaking as she reached for her empty sheet, she had forgotten to answer the questions. Luckily, she was able to use magic to hypnotize Mr Holland into thinking she had answered the questions. After class, she used her phone charging spell and everyone came running towards her. All her classmates started asking her to do it on their phone. Luna thought, "Though I don't want to become their servant if I refuse all these people I'm going to come across as a bitch." and so she did the phone charging spell on their phones.
Liam had invited Venus and Asali to go on a road trip with him to Washington D.C that weekend. This time around she didn't ask the Zamolodchikova's to take care of her younger sister and entrusted her to stay safe alone in their house. Venus thought as she got into Liam's car, "I'm so excited! No spells, my best friends, this is going to be amazing!". However, she did have some concerns. She hoped Liam was a good driver and that she could trust him with her life for the next seven hours. Asali didn't really care what music they played but Venus and Liam constantly fought over it. Liam argued, "Let's play some new wave stuff from the 80s." but then Venus would say: "No, I want classic rock music!". Eventually, they agreed that she would get to play her music for the first half of the car ride and he would get his the second half. They all ended up getting along well after that argument during the car ride, Liam would break up the long journey by taking pit stops for food.
With David busy working on something for school council and Venus away Luna had to busy herself. She decided to go on a walkabout of Sweetnum Valley, she thought: "Maybe I'll go get myself some hot chocolate. Who knows? Let's see what I find.". Sweetnum Valley didn't have big brand stores, they mostly had places that had been there forever and owned by the same people or at least within the same family for the whole time. Luna giggled: "I've lived here for over a year now, yet I never have just explored the town.". She always stuck out, with her dressed all in black and thick eyeliner around her eyes in the sea of pastels that Sweetnum Valley residents wear. She did find a cafe that sold hot chocolate and decided to go there for an afternoon treat.
Venus, Asali and Liam were ecstatic to finally be out of Liam's car and at their final destination. It was a Friday night and they were only there until Sunday evening so planning was tight. When they arrived they quickly dropped their luggage off at the hotel then checked what museums were open. Asali exclaimed, "Let's go to the Smithsonian Museum of American History! It says it has Dorothy's shoes!". Liam and Venus said in unison, "Sounds good!" and they headed to the museum. Venus loved looking around at everything from Kermit to Julia Child's kitchen, her eyes were as wide as kids' in a candy store. Liam laughed, "I've never seen you this happy!". Asali and Liam both enjoyed themselves too, the trio had mostly gone to Washington DC for the museums. The three of them went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner, it was more expensive than they had hoped but delicious. When they went back to their hotel room Venus and Asali shared one bed then Liam got one for himself.
Luna had spent a quiet and relaxing day by herself, though she often went to bed late, she decided to go to sleep earlier that night. She was in her pyjamas with Morticia curled up on the corner of her bed and in a deep sleep when she heard a loud noise. She thought, "Oh, god. I think someone is breaking into the house! I'm pretty sure it was an intruder that killed one of the witches!". Luna wasn't that strong and she didn't do well with strength spells so she grabbed the baseball bat she had in her room from T-ball and tip-toed down the stairs.
