John was assigned his first mission as a specialist in the alliance he alone had to kill a rogue peacekeeper in the winter wasteland on earth. John boarded his ship and departed. He arrived at earth in about two hours. His ship the one that his father gave him in his will. It wasn't very fast but John wanted to use it because he already knew how to fly it.
When he arrived on earth he put on his armor and activated his shields. He look down at his hand to check his vitals and the time. The air was cold in the small colony located in Russia. As he walked he covered his foot steps with the snow around him. He was on a tracking mission so he had to find other signs of life in the baron wasteland.
He saw some smoke to his left and approached it only to find a mercenary camp in the distance. As he was walking towards the camp he saw a dead body. He checked the id of the soldier and saw that his name was Oliver and he had no kids or family. John carried on to the camp, an as he got there he found a lot of things that appealed to him.
He picked up a sword and a sheath of the table. As searched for some clues he found some ammo and a small amount of food, he grabbed all of it an put in his bag. He found a pistol of the likes of which he has never seen. It had a silver barrel and a revolving piece that had bullets in it he shot it and found out that it was a military grade laser revolver.
He was filled with excitement as the peacekeeper lurked in the camp. John heard a footstep and turned around. The peacekeeper was directly behind him with a gun pointed Johns head. The barrel was about two inches away from touching his scalp. The peace keeper said,"are you the pussy they sent to kill me"
John was slowly unholstering his new revolver. John quickly shot the peacekeeper in the knee and ran like hell.
He took cover behind a mound of sandbags. Lasers were flying everywhere from the Alliance issued assault rifle that was modified by John. He stood up whilst the peace keeper was reloading and fired a brutal shot to the chest. The peacekeeper fell to ground dead.
As John approached him the peacekeeper sneakily shot John in the calf and proceeded to shoot himself in the head. John kept walking towards him knowing that now he is surely dead. The hard drive that he was sent to get was in the dead mans bag. John acquired that hard drive and started to walk back toward his ship.
He made it to his ship pretty quick thanks to the speeder he found at camp. John was bleeding quite a bit and had to hurry so he told Leumas his ship AI to fly the ship while he dressed his wound.
He went to video chat his sister after he put the quickheal gel on his wound. He told her about his mission and the reward he was getting for killing the peacekeeper. He loved the video chats he had with his sister he called her every night so that she would know he was ok.
John arrived to the base to collect the reward he had just earned. He was given 7,000 IGC which was a decent amount for the work he did. He eventually found himself in a bar drinking some crazy alien drink he has never heard of. As he was sobering up he grabbed a few groceries for his apartment.
He felt homesick for he hasn't been home in three months. The fact that he had to pay rent which was due a month ago but he'll pay up for the next three though with the huge paycheck he had just cashed. He needed new furniture a little more up to date. He has a simplistic home not consisting of much except for his medals and guns. He bought some new armor that was a carbon fiber leather which was almost laser proof it gave him a pretty large shield boost too. He decided to do a little modifying to his classic military revolver. He put PlazerV9 in the grip it gave it a shot the could blow a hole in a space ship. He enjoyed inventing stuff in his free time. He invented stuff that was far beyond military grade. He turn a wallet into an atom bomb if he wanted to. John finally fell asleep on his workbench which was to common for him.
Chapter 2
John woke up and ate some breakfast. He made his usual pancakes and eggs. He drank some milk while eating his food, and then proceeded to work out. As he was taking a shower he was looking at hole in his leg from the mission. He dried off and got dressed in his red leather jacket and his blue jeans he bought the night before. He grabbed the keys to his vehicle and departed to his sisters house. He arrived there just in time for lunch, she cried when he walked in the door. They hugged and said that they missed each other. There were plenty of women in the colony that they lived in, and just as many men. His sister was married now and she has been for about three years. Her husband walked out of their bedroom with a baby in his hands. Joan told John that the baby was his nephew and John started to cry tears of joy. He said," how could I have missed this I have been gone so long. I've missed so much since I've joined the Alliance I promise that I will not miss something like this again".
Joan replied," It's ok John we live boring lives and you don't. This child hopefully will become the man that you are and not like his piss awful lazy ass father".
