Scarlet: "Hey Kia, My friend Aliz and I were wondering Will a cold shower get rid of a bonner?"
I pause from talking to my friends and look at her, she caught me off guard, in front of me was a short girl she had to be no more than 5' 2" with long curly redhair, she looked down at me seated with a curious but serious look on her face which made me both confused and interested. Then I responded with the most educated sounding answer I could .
Kia: huh?
She smiled
Scarlet: "Will a cold shower get rid of a bonner?"
I still confused decided to just go with it all
Kia: Yeah it should
Scarlet: Aha! Yes! In your face! I told you so Ali!
She blurted out with a big grin on her face like she just killed someone, (is this some sort of game) I thought to myself, then she turned to me with an innocent sincere smile
Scarlet: "Thanks Kia!"
And walks away looking back once and smiling before turning the corner. I turn back to my friends and they're all looking at me and the table started to roar with laughter.
Kia: what!? I was just helping them with a question.
Dillan: yeah yeah Kia whatever, so what do you think?
Kia: about what?
Dillan: about her stupid, she's freaking cute and is totally into you.
Kia: I don't even know her and how do you know she likes me?
Dillon: she talked to you willingly, is near your age and has a heart beat, it's worth trying.
Kai: I don't think I'm ready to try again.
Dillon: quit being a pussy I know that Maria didn't work out but you can't be hermit it's been a week already you've got to think with your "head" not you head.
Kia: Screw you
I laughed and started to walk away,
Kia: Ill talk to you tomorrow.
I finished the rest of my school day without seeing Scarlet, I hadn't noticed but I had been thinking about her the rest of the day and and was completely distracted from thinking about Maria, for a moment it was like it never happened. When I got home I slipped past my parents and downstairs to my room and watched Netflix till 10 before hitting the hay.
