It was a cold Summer evening when my entire year changed. I was at my mom's friend's house in New York, right after I left Niagara Falls. I had put the choosing aside from my mind for much too long, and was not prepared for this moment. Anyways, my mom took me inside, holding her phone. She gave me her phone, in which my dad told me I had three missed calls back at my house. He told me the results were in. They have decided what team I was on. I call all my friends immediately. The first one I called was Kiley. She had the same team as me, which was green. I FaceTimed my other friend Emily. She was on the white team. My heart broke, which I didn't show on camera. I texted my friend Anna. She was also on white. Suddenly the fear of replacion took over. What if I can't be her friend without her being with someone else instead? The last person I found on 6W was Brittany. 3 of my best friends, some of the only people that have been there for me. That night, I drifted under the guest room covers as my heart sunk to my stomach. I had to change this somehow. But how? I can't. I'm forced into this spot in life and I can't do anything about it. I cried myself to sleep, and slept out of pure exaustion.
