Infinity War (Charlotte Stark)

Ch. 4 Scotland

As soon as I hung up the phone, I took off. Flying as fast as I could to Dublin, Ireland, hoping I will be able to find Steve and the others fairly quick.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y., find Steve." I instruct her.

"Scanning area." She takes a few moments. "Surveillance footage places them here," She highlights a small, rundown hotel.

I land there and see Nat sitting at the hotel bar. Retracting my suit, so I don't draw attention to myself, I run up to her and hug her from behind.

"Charlie? Where on earth have you been?"

"That's just the thing, I haven't really been on Earth." I say to her and she gives me a questioned look. "Where are the others?"

She directs me to their room and as soon as I step through the door, I am bombarded with a hug from Steve. He wraps me up, tightly in his arms.

"You had me scared to death." He tells me.

"When you didn't come back, we thought we lost you." Sam adds.

"Sorry, I know I have some explaining to do." Then I start to tell them the story of how I ended up with Thor and Loki, in space, and then how I got back here. "Anyway, Thanos is coming, so we need to find Vision and Wanda, like yesterday."

"She's stopped checking in." Nat informs me.

"What?" I question.

"Her and Vision wanted some alone time together, and she stopped checking in with us." Steve says.

"Damn it. I'm going to kill her." I huff out in rage, and then turn to look at the news.

I see an image of the same circular space craft that was just in New York, over a town in Scotland.

"They're there. That's where we need to be." I state, pointing to the TV. "Where's the Quinjet?"

We make it on the quinjet and I start to roughly explain to them what we're up against.

"Thanos is after the six Infinity Stones. He already has two. Space and Power. I hope and pray that Strange and Tony didn't lose Time yet. But they're after Visions stone, that's why they're here."

"Okay, slow down. This Thanos guy, why does he want all these Stones?" Sam asks me.

"He plans to kill half of the universes population."

"You've got to be kidding me." Nat mutters out.

"I wish I was. But if he gets all six Stones, he can do it in the snap of his fingers. Literally. And half of life would cease to exist."

"How do we stop him?" Steve asks.

"We have to kill him, before he can kill everyone else."

We arrive in Scotland, at a train station. When we get there, we see Wanda and Vision on the ground, Vision is wounded.

Behind them, Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive land and advance on Wanda who stands in front of Vision. A train passes behind Wanda, and they all pause as if aware of another's presence. As the last train car passes, they see a silhouette against the back wall.

Proxima throws her weapon, but it is quickly caught just before the figure steps from the shadows. Wanda and Vision recognize a bearded Captain America as he steps into the light. While they are distracted, Sam and I swoop in and kick Proxima to the next room.

Swooping around, we fire on Corvus. At the same time, Steve throws Proxima's weapon to Nat who engages Corvus, stabbing him in the gut and flinging him backwards. Proxima, who has now recovered, summons her weapon back to her hand and attacks Steve, Nat, and I simultaneously.

I fly up, and send a few repulsor blasts at her, which she dodges. I land in front of her and she moves to stab me but I block it, with Nat on her other side, kicking the back of her knee, sending her to the floor. Steve then goes to punch her in the face. She block his fist and stands back up.

Sam flies in and again kicks Proxima backwards where she crouches down beside Corvus. "Get up." She says to him.

"I can't."

"We don't wanna kill you. But we will." Nat tells them.

"I wanna kill them." I say, my friends look to me, and I keep my gaze on the aliens in front of me. "I definitely want to kill them."

"You'll never get the chance again." Proxima says and she presses a button in her wrist that beams them up to the ship above.

"Can you stand?" Sam says to Vision, as Wanda and I help him up.

"Thank you, Captain." He tells Steve.

"Let's get you on the jet."
