The Ball (Pt 2)

John had never intended to go to the ball. To him, it was just another stupid way for the rich to throw a party to show just how rich they were, and hoping that if their party was nice enough, it would distract from whatever is going on behind the scenes that made them that rich. He expressed this to his friends and most of them just laughed at him.

"Come on, it's not all that bad. We are going." Toby said as she looked through her closet for something to wear. "It's the first time that a ball in the castle is open to the public. I even heard a rumor that the prince is looking for a partner to rule with him. Plus, I already made all of our masks." She finished and finally pulled out a long, elegant dress she must have been hiding.

"I just don't know," John admitted after following Toby out into the main living area. Though the house was small, the house that John, Toby, Fitz, Swagger, Jay, Mason, and Matt shared was good enough for all of them.

"At least go for the free food. That's the only reason I'm going." Swagger chimed in from the kitchen.

"All right, all right, I'll go. But I have no idea what to wear."

Fitz knew exactly what John would wear. He handed his friend an old white button-up and the nicest pair of black pants that he owned. John took a look in the mirror in Fitz and Swagger's room and almost didn't recognize himself.

"How come you aren't going to wear this stuff?" John asked, confused as to why Fitz would let him wear all of his nicest clothes.

"Well, I'm not really going to the ball to meet anybody. I'm just going to hang out with you guys and maybe talk with Craig again. But you, my friend, have been single for too long. Plus, none of that stuff fits me anymore." He admitted. John thanked Fitz, and they walked back into the main room. All of the boys were there, all wearing the fanciest clothes they owned. Toby came out of her room wearing the dress she previously pulled out and had 7 masks in her hand. They all had similar designs in different colors and were handed out to each person, John's being blue with hints of green in it. They all put their masks on and walked toward the towering castle in the distance.

Super sorry this is so short and that I've been gone for so long! I got really caught up in writing my other thing that I kinda put this one on the back burner so sorry. Anyway, I promise that the actual interesting Krii7y-ness of this is coming, this is just kinda a fluff in-between part. Anyway, I hope you liked this burning dumpster fire and that you have a nice day/night, and you are lovely.
