Pov Y/N
I woke up to the alarm going off next to me. I reach over to turn it off and look at the time. 5:00 a.m. "God why so early," I think to myself as I get out of bed and head to my closet to get clothes. I pick out a simple white t-shirt with black skinny jeans.
I head out of my room to the living room and grab my black leather jacket. After I put on the jacket I grab my camera. It is not just any camera it is the camera I have always wanted. The Canon EOS Mark IV. Ever since I was little I have always enjoyed photography and I am so happy that I have made a living out of it.
*woof* I look down to see my Corgi, Rosie.
I got her half a year ago since I live alone. Last twoish years all I did was travel from place to place but I want to find somewhere to make my home. I had rented an apartment in New York City right before I got Rosie. I liked it here but I felt like I was missing something so when a new job offer appeared I took it.
I am currently moving to Korea for my new job. One of my Dad's friends lives in Korea and has seen my work. He offered me a job to be a personal photographer for his company but he wants me to first work with one of his groups exclusively to see how I like it.
My dad lived in Korea at a young age and then moved to the States. That is where he and my mom meet and had me. I lived in Chicago while growing up but moved out when I started traveling. I made a name for myself from traveling and doing photoshoots with some pretty famous people.
"Y/N, you going to take some more photos?" the doorman asks as I am leaving the building.
"Yes, I thought I could get a couple of shots of the morning rush of New York before I leave here soon," I say to the man just as I push the door open. I feel the cold air hit my face and shiver a bit before I continue walking to my destination.
I am set to leave for Korea here in a few days and I am almost all packed besides a couple of things. I head out to the streets to take photos as people begin to start their daily lives. After a while, I decided to head back to my apartment. As I am walking back I run into a group of kids that live in the same apartment complex. They wave at me smiling before running over towards me.
"Hey Y/N, I heard you are moving here soon from my mom?" the short girl, Allie, looks at me questionably.
"Yeah, what is this about you moving Y/N and where are you going?" the girl with blue dyed hair, Abby, asks.
"I am moving to Korea for my new job," I say to them. I start walking with them to their school.
"That's so cool! You better send photos and keep in touch with us!" Allie said.
"Of course I will. I will tell you about everything I see," I say laughing. When I moved in I made friends with them immediately even though I am older than them. I am 21 and they are both 18 but we always got along pretty well. I am going to miss these two very much when I leave.
"Well, this is us. Bye Y/N! We will make sure to come to see you before you leave!" yells Abby as they both run into the school.
I walk back to my apartment to start packing more and to also talk to the moving people who are supposed to be moving some of my equipment over to Korea for me. Man JYP has this whole thing planned out to help my move be so much easier.
-Time Skip-
I sit down waiting for my plane to be called. I said goodbye to Allie and Abby before I left to come to the airport.
My dad is with me as I am waiting. He wanted to come to see me off and he also had to pick up Rosie. I decided that it would be best if they kept her because my schedule may be so busy. It is sad but I know that my parents will take good care of her.
When I first got this job I looked into JYP's company and found out that it is an entertainment group. I looked through the groups and I remember hearing about most of these groups from Allie and Abby. They are both big fans of Kpop and listen to it all the time.
"Y/N your flight is being called," my dad said.
We both stand up and turn to each other. He gives me a hug.
"You have fun in Korea and good luck with your new job. I hope you remember all the Korean I thought you," he said laughing a bit.
"Thanks, dad, and yes I do remember it," I say. I grab my bag and walk off to wait in line. When I finally get on the plane I sit down and look out the window.
