Jungkook enters the classroom. One hand holding the straps of his school bag in place on his forearm and the other on his hip, scratching the itching spotTaehyung on the other hand inspects him closely from behind the text book he's put up in a way that it covers his face from the bridge of his nose downward
A rosy tint dusting his cheeks when the latter glances his way and they make eye contact. Wanting to disappear completely and the earth to swallow him whole he lowers his head abruptly so that Jungkook, or anyone for that matter, can have access to seeing his face
Aw man he mumbles under his breath and proceeds to grin like an idiot while his eyes remain fixated on his wooden desk looking at nothing in particular
He's been on the same class as Jungkook since their first day of middle school. He's been seeing Jungkook each and every week day for the past four years and five months. But who's counting right? Well, he does.
He has the biggest crush on him, even back then he did. It was after Jungkook beat some kids up because they were calling two of his classmates freaks and made fun of their looks. One of those classmates of his was poor Taehyung, who unfortunately fell for the very same boy that made Jaehyun's nose bloody so helplessly that even Jimin couldn't describe it. And Jimin had Yoongi.
Jungkook on the other hand was oblivious to this, probably still is. He did what he thought was right and fair. And even though the principal called his parents afterwards he didn't mind, because he acted like he did for the right reasons. And even when the head master was furiously screaming at his face he held his ground. When he noticed Taehyung on the brink of tears looking at him apologetically he turned around ignoring the irritating lady yelling at him and smiled a smile big and bright Tae could see stars circling him.
At that moment he felt his heart skip a beat and time stopping. It was as if his smile had him pulled down by an unknown force, bringing him on the verse of collapsing right then and there. And you might think I'm being overly dramatic but truth is, he really felt that way
His breath taken away, his limbs unable to move, his voice caught in his throat
Strange
From that day onward he and Jungkook had exchanged a good amount of hellos and how are yous as well as him asking if Tae was alright and how he was doing.
After a while though that stopped, abruptly, and so did Jungkook's school attendance. Somewhere in the middle of the semester the brunette had stopped coming to school as often. Tae had questions, lots of them. Such as where he was or what those bruises on his legs were. But whenever he'd try to approach him he'd either be given the cold shoulder or a weak 'im fine, don't worry about it'
Soon Jungkook changed friend groups, joining the popular kids and becoming more quiet. Some even thought he was mute. For a short amount of time it was like his presence faded. But he did start opening up again about a year ago and becoming sociable like the rest of his friends
And that brings us to the present. Where Taehyung is left wondering if the brunette still remembers his existence.
"I'm telling you Tae that hoe of a woman wanted to make a move on my yesterday. Man I'm getting seriously tired of this bullshit. Should I be gay instead?"
"Hoseok, dear, are you nuts? You can't just turn gay cause sluts hit on you"
Taehyung turns his head replying to his friends comment. Hoseok, a nutjob really, to Tae he was such an idiot sometimes but that was one of his 'qualities' as he himself had said once.
Jung Hoseok, a red haired ball of sunshine that can be too much of a handful sometimes, is one of Tae's best friends, the other being Jimin. Hoseok was introduced to Tae through Jimin and was also the one getting bullied alongside him until Jungkook made Jaehyun piss off. Yes it was Hoseok
