The Theory Behind Schrödinger's Cat: A cat, and a flask of poison are placed in a sealed box. There is a 50/50 chance of the poison killing the cat. Meanwhile, it is unknown if the poison was released or not, so to the scientists outside the box, the cat is both alive and dead. And will continue to be in this state of superposition until the box is opened and the cat is found to be alive or dead.
She's alive. She's dead. She's Schrodinger's cat.
Except in this case, she's Clark's girlfriend, Emerson, who went missing. And until she is found, dead or alive, Emerson, Clark and everything else are in limbo.
Waiting for that call, that funeral, or maybe, just maybe Emerson.
