I can't explain how happy I am with the actual response I got from the first chapter that I really couldn't hold my hands back, and decided to write chapter 2 and post it this very moment.

I groaned, from suffocation, turning around on my back looking up at the ceiling. "Why is life so fucking hard," I asked my subconscious. Yes, I talked to my conscience, it was the only 'sane' thing I had left.
"Well, first off, Val life's a fucking joy ride. It has bumps, you might get some bruises along the way, but the end is always... intriguingly peaceful."
I scoffed at her words. Peace was such a foreign word. Un-familiar to the ear. "Right." I turned to my right side, looking out at the view. Maybe, there was peace. Maybe there was happiness out there, but it'll be so hard to find... it won't be worthwhile. I closed my eyes, letting the darkness sink in.
At least that's what she thought
