A gray dog stood outside the gates under the moon, waiting for the mercenary he hired to arrive.

She should be here anytime soon. It's unlikely for Serpentine to be late to any of her targets. Her sense of time is as sharp as her skills; it was one of the many things he admired about her. She was the leader of the Teal City branch of the infamous Bloodthirsty Dames gang, known for siphoning out the blood from their victims before turning them into various products, such as lipstick and teacakes. It took Tealous 6 almost 3 years to track them down, but by the time they entered their hideout, the second-in-command, Snow, was sitting in the middle of the warehouse, an infant sleeping soundly in her arms. "We disbanded," she said weakly. "We're not doing this anymore. We have our own families now."

Those were the glory days of Teal City's Bloodthirsty Dames. Now all of them are somewhere around Teal City, taking care of their families and doing honest jobs.

Except Serpentine, of course.

"Speak of the devil," he thought to himself.

A slim, dark figure approached him from afar. Her long, dark hair flowed gracefully in the cold November air, her signature katana glimmering in the light of the full moon. She crouched in front of him, white eyes carefully observing the scar above his right eye through rectangular glasses. "This is where they live, huh?" she greeted. She glanced to her left, to the manor. "I can see them from here. This is it," she said. "Thanks for the location, Gray." She patted him on the head. "I better get going now. This sword's not gonna run through their bodies by itself."

Gray sprinted off before climbing onto a roof where he can get a full view of the Sears Manor. From there, he could see Serpentine create some sort of a distraction at the lawn, before she hid in the thick bushes. Then he saw David and Caroline Sears exiting the manor right towards Serpentine's hiding spot. Suddenly, guilt began to fill his chest, aching him. It's happening. He's going to watch his childhood friends, his teammates, his fellow Tealous, murdered in front of his eyes on his order. But such is the order of the chosen Champions called Tealous 6. The leader must kill off all of their teammates, and wait for their death in the hands of the next batch of Tealous.

When David Sears and Caroline Anderson turned their backs on Serpentine, Gray saw her leaping out from the bushes before stabbing David right through his chest before doing the same to Caroline before she could scream. He didn't notice the twin girls somehow near the incident until he heard a shriek which pierced his sensitive ears. The twin with the long hair was the one who screamed, holding her left cheek, which was bleeding profusely. The twin with the shorter hair was visibly shook, and as Serpentine strolled past them, stepping over their parents' corpses, the short-haired girl's hand glowed a mysterious blueish hue, before a ribbon of blue mist shot through the air, nearly reaching Serpentine. But she was faster, of course, but not fast enough to dodge a rock thrown by the long-haired girl, precisely reducing her glasses into shards. Unperturbed, Serpentine swiftly ran away, leaving the twins in the night, mourning their parents.

'Pity,' Gray thought. Briefly, he wondered how he would tell this to the short-haired girl. Annie, if he wasn't mistaken. And her twin is Kayla. Now that he had seen the new leader of this Challenge's Tealous 6 awaken her powers, he no longer had to worry about whose hands his death will be in. Now he must not waste time. 2 down, 3 more teammates to go. Next stop: Dear, sweet precious Camille Estella.
