Chapter 12: Silent Aspirations
written in kang hyeseul's pov

The next day, I woke up before my alarm, the buzz of anticipation refusing to let me sleep any longer.

Today marked the start of something I'd been waiting for—a new beginning—not just in a simple company but at HYUN.E, the fashion house of my dreams.

I carefully picked out my outfit, something professional but with a touch of style to make the right impression.

Arriving earlier than planned, I stepped into the quiet lobby, my footsteps echoing against the polished marble.

The place had stunning-high ceilings with monochrome artwork lining the walls, every detail elegant yet striking.

It was clear that this wasn't just a building; it was a place where creativity and ambition fused into something substantial.

I was still taking it all in when I sensed someone approach. I turned around, and there he was—Hwang Hyunjin, the CEO of HYUN.E.

"Mr. Hwang!" I exclaimed, bowing 90 degrees to respectfully greet him.

"Aren't you way too early?" He asked with a soft chuckle as he glanced at his watch.

"Nothing beats the excitement on first day. I couldn't wait to come and explore our building." I said with a warm smile, pausing for a few seconds before continuing,

"IF I'm allowed to do so."

"Of course, you are." Hyunjin replied.

To my surprise, he even offered to show me around the building himself. The Hwang Hyunjin? Giving me a tour around HYUN.E?

I tried to hide my excitement as we moved from one department to another. With each new space, the reality of what I was stepping into sank in.

This wasn't just a job—it was a whole world of creativity and vision.

In the design wing, I saw walls covered in fabric swatches and sketches pinned in neat rows.

In marketing, teams were huddled over storyboards and pitch notes, discussing ideas with an intensity that thrilled me. The energy in this building was something else—a relentless drive, a pulse of ambition.

After showing me around from the first to sixth floors, we headed toward the cafeteria. I was surprised when Hyunjin suggested to stop for a quick breakfast.

“Uhm... I guess breakfast sounds nice.” I replied, doing my best to hide the thrill of sitting down with the CEO on my first day.

As I followed him to the counter, I caught myself nervously straightening my blouse and tucking a stray lock of hair behind my ear.

Stay calm, Hyeseul. Act natural.

He ordered a coffee and a light sandwich, his movements precise and effortless, as if this was part of his everyday routine.

I quickly ordered a tea and a croissant, still a bit too nervous to stomach anything heavier.

We found a quiet spot by the window, the early sunlight casting a warm glow across the table.
