Chapter 3

."Please Shell, what if-" I Try But She cuts Me off.

Her face grows serious as she looks at me, there is a way, but it comes at a cost," she begins and goes to a closet and pulls out a little box and out the box she pulls out a necklace "this necklace has been in my family for generations, and is the reason I don't have a tale any more " she says in a grave tone.

I look from the necklace to shell and back again "I don't understand..." .

She looks as if she's thinking for a while and the sighs suddenly looking very tired. "The necklace has the power to give you legs and allow you to walk in the human world, " I can feel my heart rise with hope,"but it takes away our tails temporarily and a few times too often permanently" she finishes off.

"I don't care, as long as I can get her back I couldn't care less what where to happen to me." I say with determination.

"Very well, but remember this doesn't make you human it just gives you legs, okay?" she says to me and I nod my head.

"Good then take it, swim close to the surface, but don't break through until after you've put on the necklace and transformed. After you've broken through the surface head to the dock and look for a boat called the ocean's queen this key" she hands me a key "will open everything you will need is there."she says handing me the necklace.

"Thank you Shell." i say swimming over to her and giving her a big hug, then turn to leave.

I swim from Shell's cave to the surface just off the land and when I'm a metre from the surface I place the necklace around my neck.

I feel my tail begin to tingle and then a stabbing pain spreads through my lower half and feels like my tail is being ripped in two.

she forgot to mention how painful it is. I think to myself.

And then, as if nothing happened, the pain is gone. I look down and see my tail gone and replacing it are two, rather good looking might I add, legs.

I wriggle we my new toes and test my swimming with them.

Not too hard I live.

I look up at the surface and start to kick upwards. Luckily my legs haven't affected my swimming at all and break through in a matter of seconds.

I look at my surroundings and see I am close to the dock and start surcingles for the boat.

And then I spot it a huge yacht is floating apart from the other boats, the words the ocean's queen in gold standing out immediately.

I start swimming towards the magnificent boat and climb aboard. I put the key in the lock of the door I found and open it.

My jaw drops to the floor as I take it al like in.

Shell must be loaded . I think to myself.

After I get over the shock of it all I look through the whole boat and find it is made up of two levels and the holding area.

The second level has four bedrooms each with their own en suite bathrooms and a guest bathroom.

The first level has a living area, a state of the art kitchen, a TV room and dance floor.

The holding area is set up as a game room with video games and I don't know what else.

I pick the master bedrooms om as my own and search through the walk in closet and find different types of clothes and shoes all in my size.

I also find a box at the furthest corner and take it out the closet.

I place it on the bed and open it. Inside I find a envelope, another key, a fat wad of cash, a debit card and a credit card.

I first open the envelope and it reads:

Dear Levana

If you're reading this letter it means you've made it to the boat safely.

I just wanted to inform you on a few things I forgot to mention.

I left you a debit and credit card to buy things if you need to and to access the bank account I've set up for you. There is a little over a billion dollars in it. The wad of cash is to go buy groseries. The new key is for a car which you will find in garage no.15 . Once you are settled you can go to the local high school since I already registered you so ha ha. I think that's all oh and if you're wandering how I got all this done so fast I assumed you'd ditch your family sooner or later so....

Haha that's Shell for you.

I put the letter back in the box and put it back where I found, then change into some clothes, grab a purse, throw the wad of cash in it with the credit and debit card, grab the car keys and head out after locking the boat.

Then I search for the garages and look for no. 15.

I finally found it and when I opened it I nearly died. Standing there in all its glory is a get black 1969 camaro z28. I nearly died and after a few minutes of admiring my new ride from all angles I hopped on and went in search of the grocery store.

At the moment I'm in a extremely important debate with myself over which cereal to buy but in the end the better side won. fruit loops.

As I'm heading to the checkout point I'm busy looking at all the different sizes of Nutella when I walk in a wall.

"Stupid wall." I mumble to my self then look up.

Yeah, so it turns out it's not a wall. Unless wall is code for 'Greek god' this Adonis of a guy is definitely not a wall.

"Hellllooo? Any one home?" the guy said suddenly snapping me out of my thoughts.

"I'm sorry, what?" I said giving him my full attention.

He chuckled at me then said, " I said sorry for bumping into you."

"Oh no its fine." I replied

"And watch where you're going next time, later" the guy said before walking off to the fish section.

After leaving the store with all my stuff I go home at fill all the cabinets and the fridge then head upstairs to go shower.

And finally after brushing my hair and putting on a sports bra and some spandex shorts, I went to bed thinking about that jerk and wandering where I'd seen his face before.
