20. "Boyfriend"

To say that I saw fireworks behind my eyes as kissed was an understatement. It was fireworks plus shooting stars plus a million suns shining so bright. He was startled for a few seconds but he responded.

And while were kissing I heard Jamie clear her throat. I pulled away and looked to them. They were all wide eyed.

I looked at Freddy with a smile. "This is Eric. My boyfriend. And if you touch me again, I'll help him rip you to shreds." I smirked as I wrapped my arms around his waist and he put his arm around me.

Freddy looked mad. He mumbled as he walked away.

The whole night went by uneventfully. We stayed till Erica had to go to sleep for her shift. Jamie has to stay till closing which was early in the morning. I kinda just avoided Eric. That kiss stumped me. I wanted to just break his focus to stop him from killing the doucheking supernatural style...but it turned into something else. My blood heated up and I suddenly had a need to get closer to him even though our fronts were basically pasted on to each other.

I craved him in that moment. Almost in a psychotic way, it was like I was obsessed and I need to be with him at all times. I felt kind of stupid for feeling all of that. Every time I tried to sneak a glance at him, he was watching, he caught me. He was watching me intently.

I felt my face heat up, so I turned away. Only to try and sneak a peek in a few minutes.

We said goodbye to Erica and headed home. But while we were getting into the car I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. At that exact moment, Eric tensed up and growled. I looked around and saw a guy staring at me and my bodyguard. I got in quickly as Eric did slowly, never breaking eye contact with the stranger. I really didn't need another fight so when he shut the door, I stepped on the gas.

It was uncomfortable silence for a few minutes before I decided to turn the music on. Jamie told me that Little Mix had just dropped some new music so I searched for it and put it on.

Wow! This is a pleasant surprise.

I had kept up with the girls after they won  UK X-Factor in 2011. And when Zayn and Perrie started dating, I was over the moon. My two favourite bands were together. I had hoped that they would all find love with each other. Except Liam. Liam was my bae. But then Zayn left One Direction and Perrie...I was not a happy camper. But I still enjoyed their music.

I started humming along when I saw Eric smile in my peripheral vision. I continued humming till we came up to the garage.

As soon as the car and garage were locked, we made our way to the living room.

Once we got there, I collapsed on the couch. He sat across from me and just stared.

We sat in silence for a few minutes and I was slowly starting to fall asleep. What can I say? Travelling between realms, finding out five years had passed for your friends when it was only 2 nights to you and confronting your perverted nemesis can take a lot out of a girl.

"Thank you." He said nervously breaking the silence.

"For what?" I yawned out.

"For calming me down in the club. Twice."

I smiled sleepily. "Thank you for acting like my boyfriend in front of that butt wipe."

He looked at me calmly again. "I'd been meaning to ask. What's a boyfriend? I know I'm a male acquaintance of yours but I've never knew a title like that could hold such a claim."

I smiled. "It's kinda like a mate to humans. But not really. From what I've been told, mates are for life. Being girlfriend/boyfriend isn't quite as serious but could be stage before that. Sometimes things don't work out so they break up. But when things do, they often end up spending their lives together." My brain was going loopy.

I could see his brain absorbing the information.

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?" He still looked nervously.

I felt my eyes dropping. "Nope. My parents would never allow me. Besides...I have you now."

"So I'm your boyfriend?"

I was too sleepy to think my answer through.

"If you want to be."
