Lucy woke up early this morning, finding that she had fallen asleep at her desk. She stretched and yawned, looking down at the tear stained paper infront of her. She sadly smiled to herself. "Natsu..." She whispered, feeling her heart clench she shut her eyes. "I'll sing this today, maybe I could finally let you go." She stood up, and got ready to go to the guild. Once ready, she slowly started making we way to the guild.
When the front doors of Fairy Tail came into sight she sighed, clutching her papers to her chest. " I'm going to do this." She whispered, while walking into the guild. Everything was as usual, roudy and loud. She smiled softly as she made her way over to Mirajane. "Hi Lucy!" The beautiful barmaid greeted her. "Hi Mira." Lucy smiled. Lucy looked around and spotted the pink haired dragon slayer. Her heart clenched again when she saw him holding lisanna close to him. " Mira, I'd like to sing." Lucy said with a shaky voice. "I'm doing this for you Natsy." She thought. "Oh, alrighty Lucy." Mirajane beckoned Lucy to follow. She followed her onto the stage.
"Everyone!" Mirajane said into the microphone. This guild became silent, Lucy watches as all eyes focused on her and Mirajane. Lucy's eyes met with Natsu. She looked away quickly, as tears threatened to fall. "Lucy's going to sing for us." Mirajane left the stage, giving Lucy the spotlight. She started playing the piano. "This song is called Maybe."

"Maybe it's just me..." Lucy finished with tears streaming down her beautiful face. Everyone understood the meaning to the song and started a slow sad applause. Lucy bowed and exited the guild.
"Lucy." Natsu whispered. His heart started to hurt, knowing that this was the last time he could ever make it right with her. She had let him go, for good, that made his heart break. Natsu covered his face with his hand has a stray tear fell. "I'm so sorry Lucy."
